FN America Announces Semi-Auto SCAR Upgrades

FN America have announced the introduction of some improvements to their semi-auto SCAR line of rifles. The main upgrade is the inclusion of non-reciprocating ambidextrous charging handles to the SCAR 16S, 17S and 20S. This mirrors upgrades already made to the military and law enforcement SCARs and the civilian-available SCAR-SC PDW which was introduced in 2017.

FN America Awarded US Army Contract to Produce New M240s

FN America have been awarded a $92 million contract by the US Army to produce M240 series general purpose machine guns. The firm fixed price contract awarded 8 June calls for an estimated completion date of June 2026. FN confirmed that the contract will cover M240 provisions not just for the US Army but also other Department of Defense programs.

FN & Colt Will Compete for M16A4 Foreign Military Sales Contracts Worth $380 Million

The US Department of Defense has announced that Colt’s Manufacturing and FN America have been selected to compete for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracts worth up to $383,311,941 to produce M16A4 rifles for US allied nations including Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and Nepal. The companies will bid for each of the orders.

FN Introduces Updated Carbines for Law Enforcement

FN America have updated the law enforcement carbine offerings with the new FN 15 SRP G2 carbines, available with both 11.5 and 16-inch barrels and updated, extended M-LOK hanguards. The new carbines join the FN 15 Patrol SBR with a 14.5″ barrel and the older FN 15 Patrol SBR 10.5″, which has the older style Mil-Spec M4-style handguards.
