Like every year, Strike Industries comes out swinging with a cornucopia of new accessories. They are expanding into different weapon platforms as well as improving others. Let’s take a look at the Strike Industries 2023 Lineup.

Kimber are hosting the Boot Campaign, which focuses on the wellbeing of US military veterans. To raise money for the nonprofit charity Kimber, as they have in previous years, has introduced a pair of ‘Hero Custom’ firearms. A Hero Custom 1911, a Hero Custom Hunter Pro and a Hero Custom 84M are on display at Kimber’s booth with unique finishes. The two-tone 1911 has an MSRP $1,123 while the Hunter Pro has an MSRP of $1,096.

At this years SHOT Show ammunition manufacturer Fiocchi have introduced several new loads. Perhaps most interesting of these is their Hyperperformance 4.6x30mm. The round was originally developed for Heckler & Koch MP7 personal defense weapon and not many other firearms chamber it… The other new load is a 28-ga., 3-in., 1 5/16-oz., 1350 fps, #4 offering in their Golden Waterfowl Bismuth line.

Anderson Manufacturing is a major producer of AR-15 parts and guns, but they had other things on display at SHOT Show as well.

Arken Optics displayed their EP Lightweight (EPL) scopes at SHOT Show 2023. The EPL is a departure from their previous scopes and is more suited to hunting use.

Rock River Arms has made AR-15 rifles for many years, and continues to do so. Their newest release is the Ascendant series.

Nightstick introduced the new TCM-5B and TCM-365 weapon lights for micro compact pistols, as well as some updates to other products at SHOT 2023. Let’s look at the specs and see what they bring to the table.

New for 2023 from IWI US is an American version of IWI’s Carmel rifle.  With the same 2 position gas selector and cold hammer forged, chrome line free-floated barrel as the international Carmel, the US semiautomatic only version has some cosmetic differences that may be a better fit for the US market.  Let’s take a look.

This year at Shot Show Industry Day at the Range, Savage brought their new 1911 pistols in 3 different trims both with and without rails, and with Black Nitride, Stainless and two-tone schemes.  Savage Also brought out their new A22 takedown and their carbon barreled lightweight Impulse Mountain Hunter straight pull rifle.

Remington Ammunition has released a new hunting cartridge at SHOT Show 2023 – the 360 Buckhammer (360 BHMR). It’s a .358 caliber straight-walled cartridge created by necking up and blowing out the .30-30 Winchester case. The 360 BHMR is advertised as being better than the .30-30 Win in terms of muzzle velocity, retained energy, drop and recoil. Being a rimmed cartridge, the 360 Buckhammer is perfect for lever action rifles, and Henry Repeating Arms has already launched three side gate lever guns as well as a single-shot rifle chambered in this cartridge.

There was significant buzz around FN America’s booth during the first day of SHOT 2023. FN America have unveiled a brand new rifle developed for a US government requirement. We headed over to take a look.

At the beginning of the year we got a sneak peak at the Nocturn Industries UANVB-OC, aka the Samurai. Well they are branching out with more housings such as their metal Manticore and Chimera bridge.

Just before SHOT Show began FN America announced the expansion of their 5XX series with two new calibers 10mm and .45 ACP. On the first day of the Show we headed to FN to take a look at the new pistols.

Pristine Actions produces bolt action receivers for custom rifle builds. They attended Industry Day at the Range and had rifles build on their actions available for use.

GPO-USA are set to enter the compact reflex sight market with their Spectra Reflex Dot. With integrated motion sensor tripped on/off, a built-in photo sensor which adjusts the brightness of the 3mm red dot depending on the light conditions and an estimated 25,000 hours battery life. MSRP for the SPECTRA Reflex Dot is $379.99.

Black Hills Ammunition has a reputation for making high quality ammunition. They now offer a 6 ARC and 6.5 PRC load in their Black Hills Gold lineup. Also new this year is a 10mm load with their HoneyBadger branding.

Back at SHOT 2020 we tried Wilkinson Tactical’s AR shotgun. This year we caught up with them again at this year’s Industry at the Range Day and they ran us through their new models and their conversion combo that allows the lower to be used with either a shotgun or AR-10 .308 upper. The conversion takes seconds.

Hi-Lux Optics had a few new optics on display at Shot Show 2023. Though they may be best known for their vintage scopes, the do offer modern options as well.

As previously reported on TFB, new this year from Glock will be a Davidson’s dealer exclusive Gunsite G45.  Designed as a collaboration between Glock, Gunsite and Holosun, the Gunsite G45 was designed to be a robust fighting pistol in the vein of what Col. Jeff Cooper would want to see in a fighting handgun.  The Gunsite G45 has a Holosun optic as the main sighting system, with iron sights as backup.  The magazine release and trigger connector have also been modified to Gunsite’s specs.  Finally, a removable lanyard loop in the grip frame and a Gunsite logo on the top of the slide round out the Glock/Gunsite G45.

Zastava USA had all kinds of new things in the works for 2023.  First and most prominent,will be the addition to their catalogue of true underfolding ZPAPM70’s in the M70AB configuration, complete with bayonet lug.  In addition to being a true underfolder integrated into the receiver as opposed to their bolt-on underfolding kit, the new under folders will be the first Zastava USA ZPAP’s to have a bayonet lug as well.

SHOT Show 2023 is in full swing and Thunder Beast Arms brought their newest BFC 50 BMG suppressor.  Not one to shy away from a challenge, the Thunder Beast BFC boasts multiple configurations in order to optimize the suppressor for noise and recoil reduction.  I had a chance to look over this new massive suppressor at this year’s SHOT Show and here’s what I found.

Mead Industries produces projectiles and ammunition under their own branding, and as a supplier for other brands. Mead announced a new 77-grain boat tailed hollow point .224″ bullet at SHOT 2023.

Smith & Wesson chose SHOT Show 2023 to unveil their new M&P 5.7 pistol.  This feature-packed pistol sports a factory-threaded barrel and magazines that carry a whopping 22 rounds.  I had a chance to look over the M&P 5.7 on the show floor today and here’s what I found.

Shadow Systems showed off a few new models of 9mm pistols at Industry Day at the Range 2023. Their pistols share quite a bit of DNA with Glocks, but add features more often associated with custom modifications.

SHOT Show 2023 is in full swing and Dead Air Silencers took this opportunity to unveil their new Mojave 9 suppressor.  Using 3D-printed titanium baffles, the modular Mojave 9 is a lightweight modular pistol can that carries the same durability specs that Dead Air is known for.  Here’s an up-close first look at the newest 9mm suppressor from Dead Air.

2011s have been an extremely popular option for experienced shooters to pick up whether its for competition shooting or frequent range trips. Just in the last year a number of companies have released their own variant of the 2011 platform. TYPE-A Rifles has done just that with their brand new TYPE-A EG2011 which they unveiled at SHOT Show 2023.

At this year’s SHOT Show Industry at the Range day Holosun had a number of exciting optics on hand which won’t be available until later this year, but its great to know what’s in the pipeline. We’ve already looked at the promising new DRS TH and DRS NV prototypes Holosun brought to the range, alongside them was another new red dot sight for rifles – the SCRS. The model on the line was the green reticle SCRS GR2.
