Savage’s A22 has been selling well for nearly a year and a half.  In addition to the aftermarket industry starting to produce components allowing you to customize your rifle, Savage has also released variants of the platform (like this limited edition variant).  This latest offering looks to enhance the durability of the platform.

Yes, another handguard. And yes, another carbon fiber handguard.  Faxon had one for SHOT 2017.  Brigand Arms had one in 2016.  Many companies have produced one, and a few also have integrated Picatinny rails like the one in the below press release.  A difference is that this handguard from Tacstar looks to come in at a lower price point than many others with the same features.

According to a Press Release from the NSSF (National Shooting Sports Foundation) and the Sands Expo have come to an agreement that SHOT Show will remain at the Sands until the year 2027.

The Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute (SAAMI) voted to approve the Federal Premium 224 Valkyrie as an official new cartridge during their committee meeting at the 2018 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada this past January. 224 Valkyrie’s SAAMI standards documents are now published

Twelve open airgun athletes will compete for Team USA at the 2018 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Championships later this summer after winning an intense two-part selection match that was finalized today at the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) in Fort Benning, Georgia.
Athletes began their quest during the 2017 Winter Airgun Championships and solidified their standing today at the Rifle/Pistol Spring Selection Match following a two-day match and Final. Team spots were handed out to the top-three finishers in Men’s and Women’s Air Rifle and Pistol. The World Championships will take place August 31-September in Changwon, South Korea.

SB Tactical has just announced that they are shipping SBA3 braces as of today. I am sure many of you are familiar with SB Tactical and their line of stabilizing braces. The SB braces started out with the infamous Sig Brace and lesser known Century Arms braces. They required the use of pistol buffer tubes. Then they came out with dedicated braces like the MP5 braces and their first adjustable brace, the SB-PDW. Well the SBA3 interfaces with milspec carbine receiver extensions and is 5 position adjustable.

James at TFBTV recently did a video review of the Sig 365 and found the weapon to, well, go see for yourself if you haven’t watched it…  That being said, we are now seeing some aftermarket gear for the 365, and in this press release, specifically a holster from Tulster.  Tulster had some fans for their HK VP9SK holster.  The real question is how did they get their hands on a Sig 365 to pattern the holster?

Žiga Polajnar, more commonly known as the face of Polenar Tactical (although many would argue  that title belongs to Manca) will be crossing the Atlantic from his home in Slovenia to teach two small one-day AK courses in Texas the week before NRAAM. Žiga is both a good friend of mine and one of the most talented tactical shooters I’ve worked with.
