XS Sights has been in the gun sight business for more than a quarter of a century, having been founded as Ashley Research & Development in 1996. They are best known for their modern semi-auto handgun night sights, including some tritium and photoluminescent options. In addition to these, they offer products for other firearm types as well, such as hunting rifles, shotguns, and more. Their product lineup has recently expanded further, now also offering two models of rear sight pusher tools for Glocks.

The GWACS Armory/KE Arms lawsuit saga is set to continue well into 2023. Czechoslovak Group (CSG) has acquired a majority 70% stake in Italian ammunition manufacturer Fiocchi. The family-owned business has been producing ammunition since the late 1870s and CSG’s announcement states that the Fiocchi family will retain a minority stake in the company. CSG’s portfolio covers a range of sectors including aerospace, defense and the automotive industry.

Black Friday is always a red-letter day for retailers of virtually every type. So much so that the purchasing event has spawned Cyber Monday, and this has stretched into multi-day sales beginning the week prior, and often running past Cyber Monday as well. Fiocchi has announced plans for a new primer factory – expanding its operations in Arkansas with a new 281-acre site in the Port of Little Rock. The $41.5 million investment will create 120 new jobs in the region. The company hopes to begin construction in 2023 and anticipates the first stage of operational capacity at its new Little Rock primer manufacturing plant will start early in 2025.

Beretta Holding S.A recently acquired Norma Precision and will now be investing up to $60 million in a brand new 300,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution hub in Savannah, Georgia. Beretta Holding S.A. is the parent company of the famous Industrial Group, it operates more than 15 manufacturing sites spanning across the globe and employs over 6,500 people.

Brownells just announced a new HK416-pattern upper receiver kit, the BRN-4. This piston-driven upper is compatible with standard AR-15 lower receiver groups.

Zastava Arms USA is the exclusive American importer of Serbia’s acclaimed AK-pattern rifles, as well as a number of other firearms models, such as the beastly .50-caliber bolt-action Black Arrow M93. TFB recently covered the teasing of a new M70 underfolder, and it appears that the rumors are true. The company’s social media has now officially announced the addition of a new no-gunsmithing-required underfolder stock kit to their product lineup.

SK Customs announced a Mexican Revolution-themed series of 1911 pistols called La Revolución with the first gun in the series being the Pancho Villa limited-edition pistol. They’re all going to be chambered in .38 Super, with a high-polished frame, slide, barrel and hardware engraved with selective silver and gold plating on the slide. Pancho Villa (1878-1923) was a Mexican revolutionary and guerilla leader, and one of the most important characters of the Mexican Revolution.

AAC is a brand known for its suppressors, but they recently started producing ammunition as well. Their lineup currently includes options in 9mm, 5.56, and 300 Blackout. Recently, they announced a 77-grain 5.56 load featuring the famous Sierra MatchKing bullet.

While the UK firearms market might not be nearly as large as the United States, there are still a ton of hunters, collectors, recreational, and sport shooters who reside in the country who rely on quality ammunition just like we do here in the States, however, a new Consultation dossier on REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals) legislation has been put out that seeks to ban all lead shot in all habitats due to concerns surrounding the risks involved using the lead shot in wetlands and other habitats.

Over the past seven decades, the FAL has stood as a battle rifle icon. Designed for Fabrique Nationale Herstal by Belgian small arms engineer Dieudonné Joseph Saive, the Fusil Automatique Léger (“Light Automatic Rifle”) is a short-stroke gas piston firearm chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO. It entered production in 1953, and variants continue to be manufactured today, although FN’s own in-house production ceased in 1988. In excess of seven million have been made so far, and this gun has seen service in the hands of both military and non-state forces across the globe through dozens of conflicts. Now, to honor its legendary design as the FAL prepares to mark 70 years of production, FN has begun two contests that will allow a select few enthusiasts to get their hands on a piece of firearms history.

Frontier Armory, an importer of African and European gun parts, has announced two new modernization packages for the original Galil, the Kudu and the Oryx. These kits add additional rail space and other improvements to facilitate use with optics and accessories. Both kits will be available for the longer gas system of the standard (or R4) rifle, or the shorter SAR (R5) carbine.

Most of you here already know that KE Arms is knee-deep in a court battle over the design of the KP-15 monolithic polymer lower receiver. While KE Arms will not ask for direct support in the form of direct donations, they are indeed seeking the help of the 2nd Amendment community via purchases from their website. They are also now seeking information from current or former GWACS customers who have had communications with the company that were not disclosed during the discovery phase (the trial phase where both sides exchange information about the witnesses and evidence that they will present at trial). It is because of this fact that KE Arms is requesting that anyone with communications with GWACS Armory regarding product improvements, manufacturing information, or product improvement suggestions for the CAV-15 lower forward this info to KE Arms. It is hoped that these communications between GWACS and its customers will help KE Arms in their ongoing battle over alleged infringements regarding the KP-15 design. EAA released a new model in their Girsan MC P35 Ops line, the Ops Optic. It adds red dot compatibility to the other modernization features of the Ops model. This brings many characteristics of more modern pistols to the classic design of the Hi-Power family.

If you own an FN  FNX-45 pistol with the factory threaded barrel, and feel you want to reduce the muzzle rise and recoil of the .45 ACP now you have an option with the MRAT (Muzzle Rise Amplitude Tamer) compensator from Apex Tactical Specialities. The MRAT compensator will set you back $175 and includes a captive-spring guide rod assembly, two brass tip set screws and some thread locker fluid. The standard color is black, but you can also get FDE for an additional $25. Apex Tactical indicates that users will note a 40% to 60% reduction in muzzle rise, but the results are individual to shooters.

SAUER USA has issued a precautionary recall on specific serial numbers of SAUER 100 model rifles chambered in 6.5×55 SE (Swedish). The recall has been issued in relation to a safety concern surrounding the barrel’s strength and premature weakening over a high volume of shots. The full details and nature of the recall have been posted below but suffice it to say SAUER USA will be replacing all affected rifles free of charge and they’ve made it very easy to check to see if your specific serial number range is affected using this link here.
