Ruger Issues Product Safety Bulletin for the SR22 Pistol

The Ruger SR22 is a fun, compact-sized 22LR pistol that comes in various configurations and varieties ranging from a bone stock pistol all the way up to some raced-out versions from the folks at Talo and Iron Valley distributors. Ruger announced on April 4th, 2022 that they had discovered that a small number of pistols might have left and right frame inserts that are not properly secured together which in some cases can cause the internal safety mechanisms to not function properly causing an accidental discharge upon activating the decocker/safety. $2.1M in Radios, Lasers, and Optics Stolen from Fort Hood

A lot of us who are into night vision devices or want to have the same equipment that the US government has access to will spend a lot of time and money trying to acquire these things through legal means. Not so for 3 individuals who were recently charged with the theft of nearly $2,200,000 worth of military equipment from Fort Hood including IR Laser illuminators, AN-PRC-117 radios, and thermal optics. Two US Army veterans plus one civilian businessman have since been charged with conspiracy to commit theft of government property.

Arms of America is Supporting Ukraine by Selling Russian Ammo

RECALL NOTICE: Olight M2R Pro & Warrior Mini Flashlights

A recall notice has been issued by the Olight company in regards to two of their EDC flashlight models. Olight and the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the recall for over 200,000 M2R Pro and Warrior Mini flashlights over concerns regarding inadvertent activation and overheating which could pose a burn hazard. Adams Arms Shipping Carbines To Ukraine

Brooksville, Florida-based Adams Arms have been fulfilling a contract to produce carbines for Ukraine. Adams Arms haven’t stipulated which branch of the Ukrainian Armed Forces or Security Services the carbines are for but they stated that they have been working on orders for the past few months. The carbines appear to be  Adams Arms’s P1 model which has a Picatinny railed gas block with 3 adjustable settings and M4-style furniture. From the footage shown of the rifles, they do not appear to be select fire.

SIG Sauer Files Lawsuit Alleging P320 Misrepresentations By Attorney

SIG Sauer filed a lawsuit against Jeffrey S. Bagnell, Esq., LLC, and Jeffrey S. Bagnell (the individual) alleging misrepresentations in an animated video of the internals of the P320 pistol. SIG claims that the animation is “plainly false and inaccurate.” The respondent’s website states that the animation was based on “ CT scan images and microscopic photography.

An unnamed special forces unit from a European country has chosen the FN FCU Mk3 Fire Control Unit for their 40 mm multi-shot grenade launchers. The FCU Mk3 makes target engagement fast and very accurate, day or night and increases the hit probability of the 40mm grenade system. It is powered by a single CR123 battery, and the system can reach out to 1000 meters. A few years ago the control unit was chosen by Germany for their Infantryman of the Future.

Indian Contract for SAAB – AT4 Support Weapon

The single-shot, disposable, recoilless smoothbore 84 mm anti-tank weapon AT4 made by SAAB has a new customer on the list. The Indian Armed Forces have ordered an unknown amount of the model AT4CS AST, to be used by the Indian Army and Indian Air Force. In total, more than 1 million AT4’s have been produced.

In the grand scheme of things, rocket motors aren’t too far off from black powder propellants in terms of what both compounds do. Estes Energetics, a newly formed company born from the well-known Estes Industries rocket motor company, has made plans to continue the legacy that the GOEX has built by acquiring the company from Hodgdon. Goodbye Dragunov SVD and 7.62×54mmR! Welcome CZ Bren 2 PPS and 7.62x51mm!  The Czech Army (Armáda České republiky) has ordered a total of 350 pieces of the new CZ Bren 2 PPS rifles. The rifle is made by Česká zbrojovka a.s. (CZ) on the basis of the CZ Bren 2, which in turn was developed from the 805 BREN in caliber 5.56x45mm or 7.62x39mm.
