I came up into my love of guns in a time when we FDE’d all the things. I still find it tempting, but times have changed. In recent years, we’ve all noticed the increasing nods to the past. Looking ever so slightly into our history, O.D. green has come roaring back. While most older camo patterns on guns can feel more retro than functional, olive drab does the perfect dance of both. With their founding roots stretching back to Europe in the late nineteenth century, Krieghoff endeavors to carry on the spirit of old-world hand craftsmanship in the line of fine shotguns they offer today. One of the features that many of their high-end hunting and competition guns are best known for is beautiful, intricate, artistic engraving. Red dot shooters use risers for a multitude of reasons. One of those reasons is shooting under night vision. NODs are expensive, so who wants to drop two bills on an optics mount? Not the people at Primary Arms. They just introduced the new GLx Microdot Riser Mounts.

Rival Arms have introduced a new chassis system for Remington 700. The R-700 Precision Chassis System is CNC-machined from aluminum billet and available in three finishes black, satin gray and FDE. The R-700 weighs in at 25 oz and is designed to accept AR-15 grips and buffer tube style buttstocks. It has M-LOK attachment points at 3 and 9 o’clock and is suitable for barrel diameters up to 1in.

With the increasing popularity of 80% pistol frames, it’s no surprise that an aftermarket specific to these frames has risen to meet the needs of shooters and builders. One of the options on the market is the Strike Industries Strike 80 Compact Pistol Frame. If you run a Strike 80 Compact, you know that there are many parts made for Gen3 Glocks that are compatible with these frames. However, due to dimensional differences, a magwell for the S80 has been but a dream, until now. Strike Industries has released a designated magwell for Strike 80 Compact frames.

Based in Phoenix, AZ, McMillan Fiberglass Stocks offers aftermarket stocks for a long list of actions. They have offerings for hunting, tactical, and competition applications. Using their popular A-10 stock as a base, McMillan has recently developed and released the Z-10 Bag Rider. So, what’s the difference?

If you can appreciate specific products built to fit specific needs, Strike Industries has something for you. There are plenty of one size fits most parts out there, but parts made specifically for your weapon system and/or caliber can make a world of difference. SI just released their AR PDW 9mm buffer, which, as you can imagine, is made specifically for use with their PDW Stock/Stabilizer or pistol length receiver extensions on 9mm direct blowback AR’s.

A trademark clash has seen Texas-based XS Sights rename one of their popular lines of tritium night sights. The RAM line will now be known as the R3D Night Sights, at the same time they are now introducing a new set of suppressor height for Glocks.

Bolt catch, shmolt catch. That’s what I thought before I knew anything about customizing AR-15’s (not that my knowledge is currently vast). However, as my shooting progressed, I began to understand the advantage that small alterations can give a shooter. Parts as small as a bolt catch can make a huge difference when it’s time to go to work on some cardboard attackers. So, what if you want to try different options, but don’t want to dip into your savings account? Once again, Strike Industries comes to the rescue of us poors, with the AR Modular Bolt Catch (MBC).

Griffin Armament is best known for their silencers, along with the complimenting mounts, muzzle devices, and other sound suppression-related accessories. Since 2006, this Wisconsin-based company has designed and produced many suppressor models for a variety of calibers and applications. This innovation boasts the ability to quickly and securely mount handgun suppressors without the loosening risks associated with hand-threading or the need for a separate booster, as is normally the case when suppressing tilt-barrel pistols.

There’s no doubt that if you run a Beretta 92, you’ve heard of Langdon Tactical Technology (LTT). If not, get on that. They’re known for doing things a little different, as Will pointed out. Their latest offering is one that 92 guys and gals have been asking for. LTT is now offering the standalone 92 Elite LTT Red Dot Optic Ready Slide, or RDO Slide, if I want to avoid carpal tunnel.

The Sauer 100 was introduced by Sauer & Sohn back in 2016. Sauer & Sohn is the oldest firearms manufacturer that’s still active in Germany, which is why it’s so cool to see support for their weapons still on the market. The Sauer 100 has just been added to the long list of rifles with Boyds aftermarket stock options.

Whether you like the look of Strike Industries products or not, they fill a role that any parent, college student, or extreme couponer can appreciate. Aftermarket Glock slides from some other companies can run you more than a brand new Glock. With the announcement of the new Strike Industries LITESLIDE, an optics-ready Gen3 G17 or G19 slide can be had for $209.95 (plus theft).

This is an article for both of our readers who can afford the Gunwerks Magnus Rifle System. Gunwerks is known for their high-end hunting rifles and boast a wide variety of custom options from the factory.  We have some good news for users of their rifles. The custom stock options have just been expanded. Gunwerks has introduced the Adjustable Cheekpiece Magnus. For a modest $500, you can gain the option to adjust both the cheek and recoil pad, while earlier options only gave the user the ability to adjust the recoil pad. 

Over the last few years, one of the most interesting accessories developed for Heckler & Koch’s venerable roller-delayed weapons is the Spuhr Stock. Developed by Swedish firearms inventor and toolmaker Håkan Spuhr, the Spuhr Stock offers a more comfortable and adjustable stock in place of the factory butt used on Heckler & Koch’s classic 7.62x51mm battle rifle.

Infitech Sweden’s R&D department seem to be very busy and have just released a family of minimalistic 9 mm muzzle brakes. They are available in 3 sizes: Mini, Micro and Nano.

When shooters hear the name Steyr Arms, most probably think of the AUG right away. The iconic Austrian bullpup’s distinctive aesthetics are hard to forget, after nearly half a century it’s still in use by a host of military and police units around the globe, and it enjoys a loyal fan base. Many people likely don’t even realize that Steyr produces a plethora of other firearms designs in addition to the AUG. Anarchy Outdoors, from Northern Utah, have released several new products for the Thompson Center Compass and Venture Rifles. The products include a threaded bolt handle and a Picatinny scope base with a bubble level. The latter has a forward slope in either 20MOA or 30MOA, to help with long range shooting.

Hot on the heels of the release of  Siegen M-LOK rail covers with cable management feature, Strike Industries has introduced two new angled M-LOK forward grips that also allow organizing the cables of light/laser pressure switches. The two grips share the same cable management solutions and differ in size, geometry and additional features. Let’s take a closer look.

FN America‘s current AR-15 lineup – dubbed the “FN-15 Series” – includes eighteen models, ranging from 5.56 and 300BLK pistols to a competition-purposed model to California-compliant versions and more. FN also provides variants of these fighting rifles to various military and law enforcement groups around the globe. Primary Arms already carries dozens of FN America products, from complete firearms to magazines and more. Now Primary Arms has announced that they are adding a collection of FN’s AR barrels to their product menu.

Blackwater has a limited edition of their Iron Horse Lower. As you may remember Blackwater Worldwide and Iron Horse Firearms announced a partnership earlier this year.

Have you ever handled or fired an original M16 or an AR-15 with the classic original tri-form handguards? They have a certain ergonomic quality to them that some might argue we have lost as we evolved through the A2 style handguards, through quad rails to the more recent lightweight M-LOK and KeyMod forends. Well, Luth-AR have announced their Widebody Palm Handguard that looks like it melds that modern modularity with some of the old school ergonomics of the original M16 handguard. The wider base of the new handguard also provides a stable shooting platform when resting the forend on surfaces.

Viridian Weapon Technologies has been in business for a little over fourteen years. In that time, they have grown from offering a green aiming laser for pistol-mounted applications to providing a broad spectrum of weapon-mounted lasers and other accessories, as well as holsters and more. They recently made headlines here at TFB and elsewhere with their release of the first-ever laser-integrated hand stop.

Houge have announced their new Wrapter Adhesive Firearm Grip line with specially contoured adhesive wraps which can be easily applied and removed. The new Wrapters are available in a wide range of sizes for the various Glock models and are also available for SIG Sauer’s P320. But if you don’t run a Glock or a P320, Hogue also have a DIY package in the works, suitable for various handguns and long guns.

Introduced back in January of 2019 at SHOT Show 2019, the GlockStore’s GSX100 frame is now shipping. The GSX100 is a G19X size frame (G19 length, G17 height) compatible with Gen 3 Glock 19 parts and taking Glock 17 magazines. Let’s take a closer look.
