POTD: Sniper With Heckler & Koch HK M110A1 SDMR & MP7 A2

The title of this Photo Of The Day kind of sums up what it’s all about. While your eyes are on the Heckler & Koch HK M110A1, you’re missing a lot of interesting details. Note that H&K calls it a “variant“, and although it’s difficult to see all details in an image like this, it seems several things have been changed. The handguard looks different, for starters. The suppressor seems to be a B&T (for the G28), and not the OSS SRM6. The backup sights are different and the stock might be too. The riflescope looks like the excellent Schmidt & Bender 5-20×50 PM II Ultra Short. This is most likely a Made In Germany project, and you take what you have.

SIG SAUER Releases New MCX-Regulator "Ranch Rifle"

SIG SAUER has expanded its popular MCX lineup to include more than a dozen variants of both the SPEAR and Rattler models. They can be had in a variety of configurations, finishes, and calibers, all equipped with standard pistol grips – until now. SIG recently announced their newest MCX model, dubbed the Regulator, which incorporates a Magpul Mossberg 500/590 style stock in place of the pistol grip we’ve come to expect. They’re marketing this variant as a ranch rifle, which is a role it could certainly fill, but arguably the greatest benefit offered by the MCX-Regulator is its potential for compatibility with ban state compliance. If your state frowns upon features such as pistol grips or threaded barrels, this rifle may be able to provide you with a legal AR alternative either straight out of the box or with a relatively simple modification like a pin-and-weld job, depending upon your particular residence. Check out the press release below for further details on this newest MCX.

So today we’ll be going over my findings, and answer the hot question that everyone has when it comes to the takedown model of the 11/22, and its removable Picatinny rail section – does it stay accurate?
