Luke (  @BallisticAviation  ) is back at GunCon 2024 to talk with Stephen from Kinetic Development Group about their cutting-edge QD and M-LOK rail systems for virtually every firearm accessory out there. The KDG series of rails are compatible with most of the SCAR series of rifles and completely eliminate the Picatinny sections at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions and replace them with a smooth and uniform mounting surface. KDG also produces return-to-zero QD optic mounts, and QD M-LOK mounts for other accessories like flashlights, bipods, grips, and even GoPro action cameras.

The LMT M203 40mm “Shorty 40″ rail mounted receiver is designed to be used on any Picatinny rail or as a standalone weapon system in tandem with an LMT stock. Completely civilian legal, the M203 40mm is a barrel of fun with hand-loaded rounds, which are also civilian legal.

Luke ( @BallisticAviation) is hanging out with Seth from KCI to talk about their new KCI PC Magazine. Their new standard capacity magazines are constructed from a proprietary polycarbonate formula, with patented stainless steel internal feed lips, a stainless steel extra-powered spring, and an anti-tilt follower. The transparent opaque design with dual round count markings allows for visible round count confirmation from any side and the unique internal steel feed lip design keeps the magazines in working condition during harsh use.

While attending GunCon 2024 at Brownells’ facility, Brownells was displaying their brand new, purpose-built Gunsmith Vise and additional accessories to fit your bench and convenience. The new Brownells Gunsmith Vise is made by Heuer in Germany but designed with Brownells’ specifications. Staff said that they opted to have their Gunsmith Vise painted in Brownells Green to get back to their roots and stick with the brand color. He quickly pointed to the cans of Brownells Aluma-Hyde spray in case customers would like to change up the color of their new vise. Let’s take a closer look.

This company specializes in creating some pretty interesting AK accessories and conversion kits and their latest kit is the STizon magazine, a 9mm Luger helical magazine compatible with popular 9mm AKs like the PSA AK V, KP9, Draco, etc. Each magazine is sold in two different body configurations (clear polycarbonate or aluminum) and comes with all the necessary parts needed to convert your AK to use the magazine. 

Taurus has entered the single-action six-shooter fold with their Taurus Deputy in either .357 Magnum or 45 Colt. This blacked-out bad boy, inspired by the legendary Peacemaker, made its debut at the beginning of 2024 and made a good impression on yours truly. After handling it at SHOT2024 I had to get my hands on it and see how it performed under some old soul range time. Does it stand up to competing models? What sets it apart? I'm pretty sure the firearms are Howa Type 20 going flat-out with tracers, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Available in the most popular barrel and handguard lengths of the current industry, these new Brownells exclusive uppers give the user a KAK “Pentacomp” hybrid flash hider/compensator, a chrome-lined phosphate barrel, full-length M-LOK handguard, and of course a KAK KSPEC bolt carrier group. These new uppers should be retailing for around $650 and will be available exclusively on the Brownells website beginning in August 2024. The YC380 is the new modernized variant of the classic Hi-Point CF380 pistol. While the silver stripe on the side of the slide is a good callback to the original pistol, the new YC380 has new magazines, optics-ready capability, interchangeable backstraps, a dust cover Picatinny rail, a threaded barrel, and of course replaceable Glock compatible sights.
