Galco's Corvus Speed Cut Belt & IWB Holster Available For 1911s

The Galco Corvus Speed Cut Holster is known for its style, versatility, comfort, and function. Until recently, it has been compatible with a few popular handgun options, including Glocks, the S&W M&P series, and the Sig P365 X-Macro. Galco has just announced that the Corvus Speed Cut is now available for 5” Government 1911 models also. Let’s take a look at some of the features that make this holster a solid option and why the 1911 is a great addition to the lineup.

Looks aren’t everything… Who are we kidding?

For those with factory bling, like limited edition or ported and slide cut models, or custom-finished handguns that you’ve poured your heart and soul into, you are the Corvus Speed Cut target audience. Showing off those fancy finishes and slide milling while holstered may not have been what you first had in mind, but if you’re carrying, you might as well do it in style. Just ask Caster Troy, who I’m sure would have commissioned a double Corvus Speed Cut for his gold-plated 1911s if he still had a face.

Speaking of which, out of all the handguns I have seen shooters put work into, the 1911 leaves me with some of the most memorable custom jobs I can think of, making it a perfect bedfellow for the Corvus Speed Cut. Galco likes to say, “If the eyes are the window to the soul, the Corvus Speed Cut holster is a window to your personalized pistol.” Romance aside, there is a practical function of the speed cuts as well, reducing draw friction and decreasing moisture trapping.

Functional Versatility

The Kydex-constructed Corvus Speed Cut is set up from the factory for outside-the-waistband belt carry, complete with belt slots in 1 ½” and 1 ¾” widths. The holster also includes conversion straps, for swift and easy configuration into a highly concealable inside-the-waistband holster, providing the serious gun carrier with two fast and concealable holsters in one.

The Corvus Speed Cut features an open top for fast draw, adjustable cant and ride height, and virtually maintenance-free construction. The holster fits most carry-style optics, with a deep sight channel to accommodate suppressor-height sights. In addition, comfortable forward molding and versatility make the Corvus Speed Cut a great option for defensive carry. MSRP is set at $129.00.
