Sharps Bros published on their social media pages pictures of a 3D printed prototype of what will eventually become an aluminum grip and Picatinny rail compatible stock adapter for Thompson/Center Contender rifles and pistols.

Strike Industries has released their new LINK Tripod Adapter, which is intended to assist shooters with another firing position.  This offering from Strike Industries aimed to attach to nearly all camera tripod connectors by mounting directly to a rifle equipped with M-LOK or KeyMod rail systems, which can then be attached to the tripod shoe. Over the last few years, my preferences have changed from Glock’s modularity to the P320 and its overall options for customization. Last week, I looked at the new RXP XCompact and the overall evolution of a factory SIG 320, but what about the aftermarket community?  The Glock community had an explosion in aftermarket parts as it became more popular and it created a cycle of new customers purchasing Glocks to build them exactly how they wanted them. There is no denying, the last few weeks have been a little odd around the world. Normal daily practices like going out to dinner or hitting the range on a free day, have completely stopped. If you don’t know the distance to your target it will make it more difficult – if not impossible in some cases – to get your ballistics right, and hit where you want. Of course, you don’t always have to “hit” something. It can be good to know the distance to something without the need to destroy it sometimes.

With the current state of events, many people are wearing masks to protect themselves from COVID-19. That is great and all. One should take precautions for better health. But what if you have to use a rifle? Have you practiced shooting a rifle with a mask or in some cases a gas mask? It is not as easy as you think. Traditional stocks can get in the way. The SIG Sauer folding visor stock clears gas mask filters and allows you to get a proper sight picture.

Time for the collectors and H&K aficionados to wake up. Heckler & Koch USA has (or had by the time you read this) a super rare handguard available for the H&K MR762A1. Previously the handguard was only available as part of a complete HKMR762A1 Long Rifle Package purchase, but the 14.7″ FDE HKey rail is now available in extremely limited quantities.

Over the last 6 months, I have been using and abusing the Haley Strategic SBR Thorntail2 mount with my Surefire Scout rifle light. I’ve owned this light for the last few years with the factory mount and overall I really like the light but hated the factory mount. Putting the Scout on something like my PWS MK116 Mod 2 created issues since it has a muzzle brake and would carbon the light up every magazine since it was so close to the muzzle. Putting the Scout on my short-barreled 308 only made the carbon and abuse even worse. I have used the original Thorntail on my 10.5 AR pistol for the last year and a half so I figured I would give the new one a shot. Let’s dive into the nitty-gritty of this low profile light mount.

Strike Industries has released another muzzle device called Miller Comp. Although it looks similar to their  JCOMP, the new compensator has an external diameter of .745″ which makes it a little thinner than the JCOMP (.870″) yet according to Strike Industries is “engineered to mitigate recoil in the same manner as the SI JCOMP”. Let’s see why have they trimmed down the JCOMP design.

An Austrian company called Recoil Buster makes recoil mitigating stocks for over and under shotguns. The buttplate and cheekpiece of these stocks are combined in a separate spring-loaded L-shaped unit that upon firing compresses into the actual stock dampening the felt recoil.
