Warren Innovative Technologies has produced a new a handy little tool – the Composite Field Punch. This chopped carbon microfiber punch is made from a durable lightweight material that is said to be as strong as aluminum, making it lightweight enough to carry on your person without much hassle as well as being strong enough to take on most simple punch jobs.

This product is perhaps not so sexy, but if and when you need it it’s going to be extremely useful. The main use I see is if you have a suppressor (or any other muzzle device) that you can use on several firearms that have different threads. Perhaps you can save a stamp or two? The new Infitech thread adapter has a 17mm wrench flat so you can mount and remove it easily. There are all sorts of thread combinations available, and I selected two as examples of useful combinations.

When packing for the range, it can oftentimes become a real pain trying to fit all your gear into one or two bags when you have to take out multiple guns for long term testing without packing everything but the kitchen sink. About six months ago I started looking for a new range bag that wouldn’t scream tactical but would be big enough to take a good amount of gear with the ability to stay relatively small.

Houston, Texas-based Comp-Tac Victory Gear had already been producing a variety of holster types, as well as other gun-related gear, for many years before they were purchased by HSGI in 2017. Since this merger, they have continued to expand their product lines and offer continually growing holster support for new handguns as the market’s demand directs. With Smith & Wesson’s pistol product lines experiencing ongoing growth, the need for new S&W-compatible holsters never seems to cease. After last year’s release of the M&P9 Shield EZ, as well as its upgraded Performance Center version, yet another new holster need was born. Comp-Tac got to work on it, and now with the following August 2020 press release, they have announced that five of their holster models will now include fit options for the M&P9 Shield EZ.

Icarus Precision first entered the market of SIG Sauer pistol grip modules a little over a year ago with the introduction of their ACE 365 aluminum grip module for SIG P365 pistols. Since then, the company has been continuously expanding their line of machined aluminum SIG grip modules. They are also among the first vendors to be included in the SIG’s Custom FCU program. The latest addition to the Icarus Precision ACE product family is a SIG P320 grip module called ACE 320 Pro Competition.

Viridian Weapon Technologies has been in the weapon-mounted laser business for just shy of a decade and a half. In that time they’ve expanded their product lines to offer numerous other gun accessories as well, including a laser-integrated AR hand stop, holsters, and more. They’re also currently poised for additional future innovations based on a burgeoning partnership with gunsmithing tool shop Real Avid. Other than their lasers, one of Viridian’s products that has been gaining in popularity lately is their FACT weapon-mounted camera. Given the challenges faced by modern law enforcement agencies, as well as the transparency and oversight demanded by the taxpaying public in many communities, this technology makes sense for many departments. Now with the following August 31st press release, Viridian has announced that the Nye County Sheriff’s Department has opted to get on board with the FACT as well. The release reads:

Hot on the heels of the release of  Siegen M-LOK rail covers with cable management feature, Strike Industries has introduced two new angled M-LOK forward grips that also allow organizing the cables of light/laser pressure switches. The two grips share the same cable management solutions and differ in size, geometry and additional features. Let’s take a closer look.

Southern Cross Small Arms is an Australian company based in New South Wales. They specialize in manufacturing quality rifle chassis at an affordable price. We had a chance to review one such chassis offering from Southern Cross Small Arms, the  TSP X (Tactical Shooting Platform).

Infitech have developed a new AR15 Handguard Adapter for the Ruger PC Carbine. Why not just buy the chassis model directly from Ruger some will say, but the issue is that in many countries the only version that is legal (for hunting) is the Non-Restricted 18″ Ruger PCC. So the only possibility to put an AR15 handguard is to use an adapter.

This release is the first of a series of upcoming collaborations between PHLster and AXL Advanced, where they aim to solve a number of problems with existing magazine carriers. According to the release, the Ascent pouches bring new materials, technology, and capability to concealed carry.

Centrifugal projectile weapons have a long history dating back to the humble sling. The late 19th and 20th centuries saw a number of attempts to create an automatic weapon capable of projecting a string of projectiles without the need for cartridges containing propellant powder. The most recent, high profile, venture into the realm of centrifugal guns came in the 1990s with the DREAD system. The DREAD claimed to be capable of firing 120,000 rounds a minute with just 150 Watts of power.

Last week, I wrote about various PDWs and there were a number of people asking about the Vertx bag I had in the background. I also had people ask about other types of carry bags that work well with carrying concealed for pistols and larger weapons as well. There are endless options for carrying and off-body carry. I can already hear the disdain from some of you, but its ok if people carry in different ways than you, trust me it’ll be ok. I’ll go through three different bags I’ve used but these are typically the three most popular styles of bags for concealed carriers. Let’s dive into three different carry bag options.

Mekanix, a company based in Mølnbukt, Norway, have developed a handguard and a gas block that fits the Heckler & Koch`s MR223/HK416/MR556 rifles. They seem to have a lot of time at hand to develop new and clever solutions.

The next generation of the Tyrant Designs MOD ForeGrip is here. Like before it’s a combination of aircraft grade aluminum with rubber finger groove inserts, to make the gripping of your rifle more comfortable and controllable.

In a baffling bit of twitter news, I came across this curious post in which a Tasmanian resident received a letter that his Gel Blaster was considered a firearm and would have to be confiscated because the owner did not possess a firearms license. The owner of the Gel Blasters was told that the toy would have to be surrendered to the Tasmania Police.

Houge have announced their new Wrapter Adhesive Firearm Grip line with specially contoured adhesive wraps which can be easily applied and removed. The new Wrapters are available in a wide range of sizes for the various Glock models and are also available for SIG Sauer’s P320. But if you don’t run a Glock or a P320, Hogue also have a DIY package in the works, suitable for various handguns and long guns.

What a crazy five months it’s been; from lockdowns to social distancing and masks to travel bans, the world has transformed us into hermits. But, unless you live in a state where even outdoor recreation is restricted, exploring nature has been one of the best ways to maintain sanity. Omni Robusta is a firearm accessories manufacturing company located in Virginia Beach, VA. Their main product is an AR-15/AR-10 buffer that has built-in neodymium magnets for felt recoil mitigation. They call these buffers MARRS which stands for Magnetic Adjustable Recoil Reduction System. Let’s see how these buffers work and what advantages they have.

Earlier this year Recover Tactical debuted their new 20/20 Stabilizer kit and holster at SHOT Show 2020. Their brace works with 9mm and 40SW Glock models that come with a rail. A few months ago they also released their new  MG9 Angled Grip and Glock Mag Holder. As the name implies, the MG9 is an angled grip that can attach to any standard Picatinny rail that also doubles as a Glock magazine holder. There are dozens of M-LOK slot cover products on the market both offered by Magpul, the inventor of the  M-LOK accessory mounting system, and by multiple other companies including Strike Industries. Recently, Strike Industries released another rail cover product which, however, is not just another rail cover that provides protection for hands and covers the slots. Their new Siegen M-LOK rail covers also double as a cable management device allowing to pass the cables of light/laser tape switches through them thus keeping them organized and providing an additional level of protection.

When we have to carry for a long period of time, it’s sometimes fairly difficult to be comfortable after 8-10 hours of constant carrying. After a few hours of driving, it can sometimes cause discomfort or hot spots on your body. When this happens, oftentimes people will immediately jump to the type of pants you’re wearing or blame it on the holster after thinking of it. Both of these are possible to cause issues with sitting comfortably or wearing it all day, but the vast majority is not due to a Kydex or leather holster. The real culprit is typically the belt you’re carrying with, and it’s not always the easiest piece of gear to identify as an issue but let’s dive into the good and bad of carry belts.

Introduced back in January of 2019 at SHOT Show 2019, the GlockStore’s GSX100 frame is now shipping. The GSX100 is a G19X size frame (G19 length, G17 height) compatible with Gen 3 Glock 19 parts and taking Glock 17 magazines. Let’s take a closer look.

I use the Fix It Sticks whenever I mount a riflescope to any of my rifles, and it’s always a pleasure to use quality tools and hear and feel the “ticking” once you achieve the right torque. CAA Gear Up keep expanding their MCK line of handgun chassis/conversion kits. A couple of weeks ago we reported about their new  Polymer80 frame compatible kits and today we’ll take a look at the latest additions to MCK family of products – chassis designed for a variety of Springfield Armory handguns as well as for Glock G43, G43X and G48 pistols.

After the new Specialist Long Range Precision Rifle Bag from Savior Equipment was released this spring I got the opportunity to try it out. I’ve now had it for about three months and it’s time to look at how it performs.

Triggertech seems very busy at the moment, as they’ve released new triggers both for Weatherby and Remington bolt action rifles. If you own a Remington 700 and like two-stage triggers, there is now a new option available, with TT’s Zero Creep Technology. Both stages of pull of  Triggertech Remington 700 Two-Stage trigger are externally adjustable, with 4 points of safety. According to Triggertech, the intended use is precision shooting, competition, long-range hunting, rugged hunting, harsh environment operations, target shooting, varmint hunting, military and law enforcement.

GRS Riflestocks from Norway has released their first bipod. Made from 6061 Aluminum and stainless-steel hardware, this bipod can either be mounted a top-mounted manner (as pictured) or in the traditional way underneath the barrel.

Thyrm has just introduced its latest update to the SwitchBack flashlight ring platform – the SwitchBack DF. The  Thyrm SwitchBack turns your compact flashlight into a flexible, tactical tool. Attaching a SwitchBack to your tactical flashlight allows you to use your handheld light while still maintaining a two-handed grip on your handgun.
