Now that we do, I figured it might be good to start off with some 22LR rimfire ammunition to help satisfy your plinking needs. Rimfire ammunition is no longer priced as cheap as it was but it has come down in price some in comparison to the last two years when we were routinely seeing standard velocity ammunition go for as high as 16 or 17 cents per round during the height of the pandemic. So while the days of 3 or 4 cent 22LR may be gone, you can at least take a little comfort in the fact that the reactionary pricing is at least half gone and starting to come down to more manageable levels. Either that or you’re laughing at the rest of us from your throne made entirely out of boxes of 100-round CCI Mini-Mag sleeves.

When it comes to optics, high-quality glass is just expensive and there is almost no way to avoid this, except for perhaps the methods that we’ll be using today. Demo, used, blemished, and refurbished are oftentimes sold by many firearms companies and online accessory retailers. Today we’ll be taking a look at some higher quality optics at the online retailer EuroOptic.com and give you guys a chance to pick some of these items at a vastly reduced price over their normal factory new pricing. We’re fortunate in the modern age to have access to not only a wide variety of high-quality pistol-mounted flashlights but handguns that can field these lights as well. If you were hoping that someone might have gifted you a new EDC flashlight for Christmas and were disappointed then this edition of our Weekly Amazon Deals is for you. This week we’re covering all sorts of EDC flashlights from penlights all the way up to some more heavy-duty flashlights that can dish out a lot of power. I generally find that my EDC flashlights get used most often for finding something I’ve dropped in my truck at night, around the house, at work, or on the range – you never know when one of these handly little flashlights will come into use.

Today I’ve brought you guys a handful of shooting accessories which are all on sale plus a couple of extra items I think are appropriate for the Christmas season.

The reindeer Blitzen is one of Santa’s favorite flyers and according to the lore, the one that gives the other reindeer a boost of energy when he needs that sleigh to have a boost in speed and power. If you’re looking for a boost to your arsenal’s speed and power, then you should check out some of these great bolt-action rifles. While bolt-action rifles may not always deliver more accuracy per dollar than modern semi-auto rifles they’re still fun to shoot, are almost universally 50-state legal and don’t often run afoul of any state’s hunting restrictions for centerfire hunting. If you’re looking to do some big game hunting this winter, then bolt-action rifles will often offer you a wider variety of ammunition selection and bullet weights that are better suited to that job than what you could possibly get with a semi-auto rifle. If nothing else, a bolt-action rifle makes a great gift for carrying on the tradition of what was once the standard for a “modern military rifle” for a lot of Americans before the advent of the first semi-auto rifles.

If you don’t get the reference in the title, first of all, let me sincerely apologize to you for not having the pleasure of witnessing a true classic of American Christmas movies. Second, go watch the movie. Now that you’ve had a chance to understand where I’m coming from let’s talk about eye protection. There are a lot of arguments to be made on the merits of wearing eye protection all the time but I know there are many of us out there that feel that eye protection isn’t always necessary especially when it interferes with your vision and by extension your ability to see and shoot a target. However, I think there are a few times where everyone agrees it’s probably in your best interest to actually wear eye protection, most notably, when you’re shooting steel, or other hard targets or shooting with a suppressor mounted. In these cases, you can avoid some pretty uncomfortable or possibly debilitating injuries from bits of projectile or blowback coming towards your eyes which everyone knows are basically the groin of the head. Anyway, pick up some eye protection this Christmas so that you don’t wind up shooting your eye out, kid.

Optics are a core part of any firearm build and the 12 Days of TFB Christmas is a great time to pick up a new optic for all those new rifles and pistols I know you have on your Christmas list.
