Taurus USA have introduced a new addition to their Raging Hunter series chambered in .460 S&W. The new hunting revolver will be available in a range of three barrel lengths, 8-3/8″, 6-3/4″ and 5-1/8″ and will come in two finishes – all black and a two-tone with MSRPs of $968.18 and $983.33 respectively.

Hello and welcome to a special review edition of  The Rimfire Report. This week we’re going to take a look at the recently released Taurus TX 22 Competition model. The TX 22 Competition is Taurus’s latest generation of the successful TX 22 that was released in 2019. The new Taurus TX22 Competition is an optics ready version of the original TX22. The TX22 Competition is built on the same lower as the original, but with an extended barrel and slide, along with an optics base. Viva Italia! Brazilian Law Enforcement agencies have ordered up to 159,000 units of Beretta’s APX striker-fired semi-automatic pistol. The pistol is going to be used by the National Public Security Force and the regional police forces of several of Brazil’s 26 states. The contract between Beretta and the Brazilian Ministry of Justice will last over 18 months, with a commitment from Beretta to supply up to 159,000 pistols for a maximum value of 57 million Euros (roughly $69 million USD).

A smaller niche that some sportsmen/sportswomen might be shopping for is pest control. In 2005 the US Military went looking for a new handgun, and Taurus answered the call with the PT24/7 OSS Tactical. When the Joint Combat Pistol trial was abandoned, Taurus offered the OSS Tactical to the civilian market instead.

The new offering is part of Viridians E-Series of weapon-mounted lasers.

As Brazil’s Taurus Armas seeks to ensure its financial stability and expand its export sales they have announced a contract with Senegal’s security forces to provide 1,000 5.56x45mm T4 carbines and 200 9x19mm SMT9 submachine guns.
