Magpul will be releasing longer Glock mags geared for competition use. As a USPSA shooter, I have wondered why companies do not make their third party Glock mags for competition use. Well Magpul has addressed that.

Vitaly Kryuchin posted this video late last week. He is amazing. He is wearing a Russian IPSC jersey while dual wielding glocks. If you notice, he never looks at the sights. It is all point shooting. His dual wield draw and fire is rather impressive.

Erik sent us beautiful photo of a competitor at the 2013 West Coast Match IPSC Rifle in Sweden. The rifle is a  JP Enterprises CTR-02. Thanks for the photo Erik.

Lidová Obranná Střelba, aka LOS, translates to People Defensive Shooting. It is a Czech shooting competition. It was started by the LEX Association. They are an association for the protection of rights for gun owners. They started LOS back in 2005. It is similar to IDPA where the shooter must conceal their firearm and shoot from cover.

The Zimbabwean city of Bulawayo recently hosted the All Africa IPSC Championship. Instead of deer and coyote silhouette they have zebra and warthogs!

While at IWA, I had a chance to interview world champion pistol shooter Rob Leatham. Mr. Leatham has won the IPSC World Championship 5 times and the USPSA National Championship an incredible 24 times, among many other prestigious victories. He’s been described by Brian Enos as “the finest and most accomplished shot on the planet.”

Perhaps the most impressive booths at IWA came from Switzerland – KRISS Group and RWS went all-out with details such as live music, waitresses serving free alcohol, and Swiss chocolate being handed out like, well, candy. While I didn’t spend much time at RWS, I was definitely taken in by the variety of products on display at the KRISS/Sphinx booth, such as the Sphinx pistols. They’re an interesting departure from standard pistol design and manufacture, as the frame is manufactured in upper and lower segments and then joined together.

I did not realize that you could buy shoes designed especially for IPSC.
