Franklin Armory has released a new AR binary trigger called AR-ELITE. The main difference of the new trigger from other Franklin Armory binary triggers for AR-style rifles is that it has interchangeable trigger bows and comes with a straight and curved bow. The new AR-ELITE trigger has the same MSRP as the fixed bow binary trigger models (AR-S1 and AR-C1) and will replace them in the company’s catalog.

Franklin Armory @ TFB:

A binary trigger allows firing a round not only when the trigger is pulled but also when it’s released. This allows you to fire at a higher rate without converting your semi-auto firearm into a machine gun because you still fire one round when pulling the trigger.

The Franklin Armory triggers have three modes:

  • Position 1 – Safe –Will not fire
  • Position 2 – Semi – Fires 1 round per pull
  • Position 3 – Binary – Fires 1 round on pull and 1 round on release

If the gun is in the binary mode, you pulled the trigger, fired a round but for whatever reason don’t want to fire another round upon the trigger release, you must keep the trigger pulled, switch the selector to the Semi position and release the trigger.

The pull weight of the Franklin Armory AR-ELITE binary trigger is 4.5 lbs. This trigger is compatible with most bolt carrier groups and works in most AR platforms and calibers including 5.56 NATO, 308 Win, 300 BLK, 9mm, rimfire, etc. In order to reliably function in different types and calibers of AR-pattern firearms, the Franklin Armory AR-ELITE trigger comes with multiple hammer, trigger, and buffer springs. The interchangeable trigger bows are made of aluminum. They are currently available in black color only however the company will soon release more anodizing color options.

The MSRP of Franklin Armor AR-ELITE Binary Trigger is $429.99. This trigger can not be shipped to the following states: CA, CT, DC, DE, FL, HI, IA, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, RI, and WA.
