Welcome everyone to the 244th edition of 'Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?', one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question - is this Gat a sweet deal or only have Fudd appeal? Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you, the readers, decided the custom Springfield 1911 was nothing but fudd crap.

At this time the original auction remains up on GunBroker with no bids. We can only hope this raced-out boomer classic will find its way to a new home shortly.

In this week's edition of HGFC, we look at a custom dual Ruger 10/22 chambered in .22LR. As is tradition, this tiny air-defense gat is currently up for sale on GunBroker for $2,499 Current Bid with No Reserve.

HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? 10/22 Anti-Air or the Fancy Jam Affair?

Let's see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:

"Hot Gat, for when mosquito repellant doesn't cut it” -Giorgio O.
“The iron crosses really make it special “ -Josh C.
“What in the Herman Goering is that” -Matt M.
”The Greatest gift for anyone who hates drones” -Eric B.
"When your friend circle constructs a Venn diagram of someone who loves bending sheet metal... someone who enjoys unreliable plastic... and a 3rd dude who lives for unnecessary Cerakote jobs.”-Adam S.
"I would never buy one, but I would absolutely make one in my garage when drunk.” Benjamin F.
“Snoopy Approved” -Luke C.

Selling this drone defense gat is GunBroker seller blue79luke, located in Wichita KS.  Let’s see what they had to say about this crank-operated rimfire:

“Up now for your consideration is this truly one of a kind Ruger 10-22 gatling gun. Consists of 2 RUGER 10-22 rifles mounted on a tactical innovations gatling gun kit. The kit is made of hi quality billet aluminum and is designed speciafically for the ruger 10-22. The rifles are mounted side by side and alternate firing. Fires 4 rounds per rotation of the crank handle and rate of fire is only limited by how fast the operator can crank the handle. Comes with 2 110 round drums. The overall conditon of this gun is EXCELLENT showing only light use and handling with some small marks but no major distractions. Bores are good and rifling is strong. Easliy lifts off of tripod for strorage. rotates up and down and 360 degrees.
The original owner had the kit custom painted to depict the dual guns mounted on Baron Van RIchthofens celebrated Fokker Dr. 1 triplane. Baron was considered the ACE OF ACES of WW1. (COULD BE EASILY TAKEN DOWN AND REPAINTED IF THE NEW OWNER DECIDES TOO .)
Collectors DONT MISS OUT WHEN ITS GONE ITS GONE. These gatling guns do not come up for sale often. PLEASE BE SURE AND CHECK WITH YOUR FFL TO MAKE SURE IT IS LEGAL FOR YOU TO OWN BEFORE BIDDING)
I have not fired this weapon but it does pass basic function test. Was told by the original owner that it fires great but does take some shimming of the 110 round mags to make it run smoothly. It will run easily when using banana mags. Ask any questions and I will be happy to oblige. (316) 807 6977. This firearm is also for sale in my shop but once a bid is placed it will go to the highest bidder here on gunbroker.
CHECK MY FEEDBACK AND BID WITH CONFIDENCE. I am a longtime gunbroker member and FFL specializing in hard to find and RARE investment firearms at PENNY hi bid wins auction. Gunbroker members you set the price. SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS. Shipping will be $80 to your FFL and I can take payment with no fee by check or money order or by credit card with a 3% fee. Ships immediately following payment.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE INTEREST IN MY LISTINGS.
GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS AMERICA AND OUR TROOPS”

Let's get one thing straight, I love a good 10/22. It’s a staple of a proper firearms collection. There are a few things you can do to a 10/22 that make it awful. One is to modify it heavily, and use aftermarket magazines. There I said it. Those little 10-round magazines from the factory are glorious, and I still have PTSD from using a singular Hot Lips 25-round magazine during my childhood (During the 1994-2004 assault weapons ban) that jammed more rounds than it fired.

I’ve been out of the 10/22 game for some time now, but I’m sure there are some good aftermarket magazines out there. I, on the other hand, seriously doubt the drum mags pictured are part of that group. Do I still think this would be a blast to shoot? Absolutely. Would I buy one? Probably not. However, it looks like someone is going to based on the early bid.

Is this double barrel 10/22 worth jumping into the bidding pool at a shade under $2.5k or are you mini-air defense solutions better found in a shotgun? As always I leave it up to you, the readers, to decide.

What do you think?  Is this very custom Ruger 10/22 combo a Hot Gat or what the hell even is this Fudd Crap?  Be sure to let us know in the comments below, and cast your vote to let us know if this Ruger 10/22 Gatling Gun is a Hot Gat or Fudd Crap:

Looks like a very fun way to reduce your .22 stockpile to noise and giggles. Don't want to own it or feed it, though

Just would like a video of this thing trying to empty both drums without a jam.
