Franklin Armory Introduces The G-S193 Binary Trigger For The Glock 19

Ever since Franklin Armory unveiled its Binary Trigger kit for the Glock 17, the company has been inundated with calls and messages from customers demanding equal treatment for the Glock 19, which should come as no surprise as it is arguably the most popular carry gun in America. Franklin Armory has responded by announcing the availability of its patented Binary Firing System (BFS) for your Gen3 Glock 19.

Franklin Armory @ TFB:

The new G-S193 allows shooters to select between semi-automatic and Binary firing modes, reducing split times and tightening up those double-tap groups. The system works by discharging the firearm upon pulling the trigger, like any other semiautomatic, but also allows the shooter to fire one more round upon releasing the trigger when in binary mode. Like all BFS triggers, the round discharged upon release can easily be canceled by selecting the semiautomatic mode while continuing to depress the trigger. Once back in semiautomatic mode, the firearm will operate as it did from the factory. An integrated back plate mode indicator ensures you will always know which mode you’re in without coming off target. Franklin Armory promises these features will make the G-S193 perfect for defense, sporting, and recreational use.

The G-S193 is designed to fit most Glock 19 Gen3 firearms and is easy to install. Change out your OEM trigger with the assembly supplied by Franklin Armory, then swap your barrel and recoil spring assembly into the G-S193 slide. That’s all there is to it. The G-S193 slide comes optics-ready with adapter plates sold separately and includes front and rear tritium night sights. The slide also features anti-glare top serrations which is a very nice touch, and front and rear tactile serrations for a better grip when actuating the slide or performing a press check.

MSRP on the Franklin Armory G-S193 is $899.99, but keep in mind that you are getting a new trigger with binary functionality, an optics cut slide, and tritium night sights for that price, not to mention the tacti-cool Glock 18C vibe with the slide mounted selector.

What do you guys think of binary triggers, and is this something you’d install on a range or carry gun? Let me know in the comments below.

Does anyone (non-retarded) actually use these? I mean, I get the booty-out (sub 90 IQ) types, but does anyone really invest in something like that?
