The 5 Airports That Seize the Most Guns

In this episode of TFBTV, James reviews the TSA databases and the FAA traveler traffic reports to figure out which airports found the most guns at TSA security checkpoints in 2019. While it’s easy to predict which airports may have taken the most firearms from passengers, James dives deeper, looking into which airports took the most guns per ticketed passenger, rather than the most guns total. James considered only those airports that confiscated at least 50 guns from passengers in 2019, leaving about 30 airports to look at nationally. Check out the list.

HK VP9 v. HK VP9B – Which magazine release

Brannon LeBouef walks through some of the pros and cons, both actual and perceived, of the differences between a traditional “American” button magazine release and a “European” paddle release. Using the #hkvp9 and #hkvp9B to show this, he also walks through some of the features of the VP line of pistols in general and why they are exceptional guns, especially the trigger. Keeping in mind that there have been some changes to the design concurrent with the release of this video as seen in Brannon’s #shotshow2020 coverage of #hecklerandkoch, these are still top end duty/EDC guns. As expected these guns, as well as the guns Brannon has in the rental cases at The St. Bernard Indoor Shooting Center have functioned reliably and without issue. The VP9 series is a robust and consumer priced option for a full-sized striker-fired gun, and also comes in compact sizes and other calibers.

[SHOT 2020] Best Light Machine Gun in the Universe: ST Engineering Ultimax Mark 8

The Ultimax Mark VIII has been out for several years now but this is the first time that the light machine gun has been out on Range Day at SHOT Show, allowing the public to get some hands-on with the light machine gun. Developed in the 1980s by Jim Sullivan, the Ultimax is perhaps most famous for its extremely controllable rate of fire (sometimes balancing the buttstock on a shooter’s nose or chin). Despite decades since its inception, the light machine gun still hasn’t seen widespread adoption throughout militaries throughout the world. The Mark VIII attempts to change that by showing the U.S. market what ST Engineering (ST Kinetics, formerly Chartered Industries of Singapore, CIS) still has to offer.
