The NEW Heckler & Koch SP5K-PDW: The Best Civilian Version of the MP5?

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves reveals the H&K SP5K-PDW. The SP5K-PDW is, essentially, a civilian version of the H&K MP5K-PDW, which is, itself, an improved version of the H&K MP5K, which in turn is a shortened version of the H&K MP5.  In other words, the SP5K-PDW is a shortened civilian version of the MP5, but, unlike the H&K SP5K or the MP5K, the PDW comes with all of the features we wanted from H&K, including a combo threaded/tri-lug barrel, paddle mag release, ability to easily add a stock or brace – and it’s made in Germany, from the same assembly line as H&K’s military and law enforcement contract guns. Is this possibly the best version of the MP5 to date? Or the best H&K carbine to ever hit the civilian market? James breaks it down today on TFBTV.

Full Details on the SIG Sauer P320 Custom FCU Program

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves gets the full details of the @SIG SAUER, Inc P320 FCU (Fire Control Unit) program from Phil Strader at SIG HQ in New Hampshire. More or less, we’re talking about the serialized component of the P320 – the only part that needs a background check – being sold separately starting in October of 2020. This would allow purchasers to buy just the fire control unit from their gun dealer, and then buy all of the components – slide, barrel, frame, etc. – separately. Buyers would be able, in essence, to completely customize their SIG P320 without buying a whole, complete P320. Furthermore, SIG will be launching the SIG FCU Collective program online, which will allow owners to buy the parts they need through a customizer program on SIG’s website. Not only will owners be able to buy SIG brand components, but they will be able to choose parts and accessories from third-party vendors. We look at the program and a few of the vendors who will be participating in this program.

Sneak Preview: The NEW SIG P320 FCU Custom Works Program

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is at the SIG Sauer Academy speaking with Phil Strader of SIG about the new SIG P320 Fire Control Unit or “FCU” program. While more details about this new program are on the way as the tentative October launch date gets closer, what we can tell you now is that the P320 FCU Custom Works program is a collaboration between SIG and third-party/aftermarket parts makers to offer a new degree of customization for the SIG P320 line of pistols. Consumers will be able to purchase the SIG P320 fire control unit by itself for $299. As the fire control unit of the SIG P320 is the serialized component of the gun, buyers will then be able to hand-select and order the components to complete their build – including the frame, slide, barrel, and other components – not only from SIG but from supported third-party manufacturers. After those parts arrive, the owner simply assembles their custom-designed SIG P320. More details about this program are coming soon from SIG and from TFBTV, so make sure to subscribe for new updates.
