A Closer Look at Accuracy with the UIC ADM4 Mod2

I expected the results to improve with match ammunition and a magnified optic. This was stated in the original article. I did not expect the results to show sub MOA performance at 100 yards!

TFB Review: The UIC ADM4 Mod2 From ADM

The (UIC) ADM4 Mod 2 retails for $1,850. It is nice to see a company not try to reinvent the wheel, but to come out with a good mixture of parts they are good at producing mixed with parts from other industry leaders. Often when buying an AR, the initial purchase is just that. The initial purchase provides the foundation of the rifle. However, many parts are later purchased to upgrade to the user’s wants or needs. This results in drawers of parts the shooter does not need and useless expense. While user needs can fluctuate, most of the commonly upgraded features are already high-end parts on the ADM4 Mod 2.

Sure, you can spice up a Remington 7615 Pump Action, or drop a bolt gun in a chassis but it still felt a little lacking. Enter Warwick Firearms Australia.

TFB Review: Springfield Armory Saint Victor .308

A couple months ago I received the SAINT VICTOR from Springfield Armory for review. I am a fan of the AR10 platform, own a couple so, I was ready to put it through the “TFB wringer”. As all in the Saint line do, the Victor arrived in a case with two magazines and a “SAINT” morale patch. My last rifle arrived in a cardboard box with no magazine. Although they’re small details, it does give it a cool factor you do not always get these days

[TriggrCon 2019] Medieval Might! Doublestar Corp STAR10-P 308 Win AR Pistol

We announced the unveiling of the Doublestar Corp STAR10-P 308 Win AR Pistol a few weeks ago, but now we had the opportunity to handle one in person at TriggrCon 2019! This AR-10 pistol is a bit on the heavy side with it being over 8 lbs, but it balances really well. With the Stronghold G10 Pistol Grip, G10 Rail Panels on the handguard, and a magwell that looks like a knight’s helmet, I made the comment to Doublestar in jest that this thing looks medieval! In a world of monotonous black guns, the Doublestar STAR10-P 308 is cut from a different cloth.

DSG Arms And Midwest Industries NGAL And PEQ-15 Front Sight

Two great companies have come together to design, produce and market both a PEQ-15 front sight and NGAL front sight. Midwest Industries in cooperation with Defense Solutions Group (DSG Arms) are releasing the two rail mounted sight options for users of the weapon mounted laser/illuminator devices for night vision use. Because of the way the PEQ-15 and NGAL devices sit on a top rail, it is difficult to mount traditional iron sites without moving unit farther back. The PEQ-15 front sight made by Midwest Industries and DSG Arms allows the laser/illuminator to sit much farther forward.

Betsy Ross Lower Receiver: Palmetto State Armory Shows Up Nike

In the free world, like the United States Of America, companies can freely make and sell products to consumers. Capitalism isn’t perfect, but it is a part of what makes America great. So when Nike decided to kill their plans to release “Betsy Ross” themed sneakers based on one ex-Footballer’s comment, it didn’t bother me in the slightest. Instead, I thought we could focus on the positive news, like the Betsy Ross lower receiver just announced by Palmetto State Armory.

POTD: Colourful Afghan National Army M16A2

Stars and Stripes recently ran a story about an embed with Afghan National Army troops operating in a number of provinces. One of the photos taken by the author, J.P. Lawrence, immediately caught my eye for obvious reasons. It features a young ANA soldier, on guard in Logar Province, armed with an M16A2, with some aesthetic improvements. It’s not uncommon for Afghan soldiers and security forces to decorate their rifles colourfully but I wouldn’t want to take point with this soldier’s rifle.
