Glock Prevails in Lawsuit After More Than Six Years

Glock is no stranger to a good lawsuit. For many years now, this titan of the handgun world has made repeated headlines for a smorgasbord of litigation. They’ve filed suit against others, they’ve been sued, and numerous times members (or former members) of the operation have even gone after each other. Thankfully, TFB TV’s own James “Not Disbarred Yet” Reeves has thus far avoided a lawsuit target for leaving his G17 out in the rain earlier this year. All the way back in 2014, the Austrian-based firm sued an airsoft company over unlicensed replicas. Six and a half years later, this lawsuit has finally concluded, as detailed in the following press release.

Gun Distributor RSR Group to Host 2020 Dealer E-Show

Firearms dealers are having a crazy year. Whether you have a front-line brick-and-mortar storefront, a range that also sells products, you’re an online retailer, a home-based FFL, a distributor like RSR Group or pretty much any other gun-related business, 2020’s weirdness has almost certainly affected your business. Some of these effects have been positive – demand for guns and ammo has never been higher, and millions of Americans are becoming first-time gun owners. New, higher background check numbers have continued to come out throughout the year, and internet sales pretty much across the board have seen a major boost as circumstances have led buyers to accelerate the already-extant shift toward online shopping and away from in-person purchases.

3DEO: The 3D Printing Marketers Don't Tell You About

Additive Manufacturing (AM) or 3D printing, although now over 30 years old, is still a relatively new family of processes. Indeed it is not yet fully integrated in many industries, and in firearms manufacturing, we tend to see it sparingly, mostly for niche products. Moreover, many customers, and manufacturers alike, tend to be fully aware of the limitations, real or perceived, of AM processes and believe that they are more suited to prototyping than production.

Holosun and Trijicon Announce Lawsuit Settlement

Competition in the firearms and firearms accessories market benefits consumers. It stands to reason, right? One of the best ways for a company to earn your business and make you a customer is to put out superior products. If they produce something that you want to buy more than you want to buy a different manufacturer’s comparable offering, they win your business – and in the process, you also win by virtue of improvements and innovations to which you gain access. Another option for a company to make themselves and their products more attractive is to sell them at a lower price point. Most consumers are mindful of their spending; they have to be judicious about how many of their dollars they are willing to relinquish and to whom for what. Buyers in general want good value – some of which will involve the quality and features of the product in question, but cost combines with other considerations to comprise a comprehensive value proposition. It’s not enough just to make a product; you have to sell it at a price that people are both able and willing to pay. Trijicon and Holosun both understand these precepts well, and they recently locked horns over how one another was going about their business.

Ruger's 2Q Financials Highlight Increases, Special Dividend

We live in interesting financial times. Though unemployment is reaching record levels, firearms and ammo purchases have skyrocketed. It has become exceedingly difficult to find most common gun industry products in stock, and what little stock there is typically doesn’t last long. Amidst all of this chaos, TFB recently reported that America’s oldest gunmaker, Remington, has had to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for the second time in just two years. However, there is a vastly different story to be told at one of the industry’s other monoliths: Sturm, Ruger, and Co. In a July 29th press release, Ruger has announced that they have emerged from the second quarter of 2020 in fine fiscal form, and will even be paying investors a dividend. The release reads as follows.
