Savage Adds 110 Trail Hunter Model
Savage just introduced a new model of the famed 110-series bolt action. The new Trail Hunter features a Hogue Overmolded stock and a threaded medium contour barrel. Let’s see what other features it brings to the table.

The Trail Hunter features a tungsten Cerakote finish on the action and barrel. It feeds from a detachable box magazine and comes in 22-inch and 24-inch barrel lengths depending on caliber. On the topic of calibers, it is available in a wide range of options including .223 Remington, .243 Winchester, .270 Winchester, .30-06, .300 Winchester Magnum, .300 WSM, .308 Winchester, .350 Legend, .450 Bushmaster, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 7mm PRC, 7mm-08, and 7mm Remington Magnum. The MSRP ranges from $629 to $649 depending on the model. A two-piece scope base is also standard. Only right-handed models are available at this time, but given Savage’s love for lefties, that may change in the future.
As an aside, please note that the Savage Trail Hunter differs from the Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter by having a space in the name, and not being a motor vehicle.

I wonder if the 110 is a nod to how many different versions of the same rifle they're planning to make.
I've had a Savage 110 for many years. Absolutely dependable. It has walked in water, hiked up mountains, hiked up canyons, slid down canyons and hills (some of those were even intentional), walked mile after mile after mile, had numerous hogs, deer, coyotes, bears and mountain lions in its sights, been cold with me, hot with me, out of water with me, stumbled into a cartel marijuana grow with me, seen the ocean, seen the redwoods, been my hunting partner and watched my hair turn colors. And remained faithful through all that. My Savage 110 is my friend.
