POTD: U.S. Army Sniper At Danish International Sniper Competition

Photo Of The Day and we are back in Denmark, where a U.S. Army sniper at the Danish International Sniper Competition fires his SR-25 (Stoner Rifle-25) designated marksman rifle. This rifle was designed by Eugene Stoner and is manufactured by Knight's Armament.


These images are from the final event, the Sniper Race, at the International Sniper Competition at Borris, Denmark, where 32 teams from 14 nations compete and enhance teamwork with Allies and partner nations.


The Sniper Race Finale - DISC 24 covered 10 kilometers and 6 shooting ranges.

A U.S. Army paratrooper with 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, conquers an obstacle during the final event, the Sniper Race.

    Those M110A2’s can’t come soon enough…


    I also wonder if the AMU is going to get their match grade 6.8x51, since that would pose an interesting development, given that the XM7 is a “minute of barn door” type of rifle.
