SIG have updated the SIG P290 which they introduced in 2010. The updated P290 RS has DAO Restrike capability, a reshaped beavertail frame, recontoured magazine release, reduced and reshaped slide release and finger-grip magazine floorplates. The changes are, at least in my eyes, a lot more aesthetically pleasing. I was not a fan of the squarish grip of the old P290.

The TP9 is a relatively new pistol from Turkish company Canik55. This year Century Arms will be importing it into the USA.

S&W is brining back the .357 Magnum Model 586 Classic Distinguished Combat Magnum Revolver.

I.O. Inc. is importing the a pistol-variant of the Soviet PPS-43 submachine gun. The PPS was first produced in 1943 by Soviet Union as a cheaper, easier to manufacturer and more compact alternative to the Soviet PPSh-41. It was an influential design that was widely produced . The later Finish M44 Tikkakoski, Spanish DUX Model 1953 and DUX Model 1959 submachine guns were direct descendants.

Taurus USA has acquired Heritage Manufacturing, a Floridian manufacturer specializing in old west style single action revolvers. Heritage main product line is their Rough Rider .22 LR/Mag combo revolver although they also make single action revolvers chambered in .32 H&R Mag, .45 LC and .357 Magnum.

French firm Verney-Carron manufacture a nifty dual barrel less-lethal pistol called the Flash Ball.

Walther firearms has always stood for quality in many ways. The design, function and fitting of parts are typical for quality German guns. Even though materials have changed over the years the quality is still there using modern design as well as modern materials. The Walther PPS is a prime example of these qualities in the 21st century.

The Bul M-5 Ultra Custom 1911 is very nice looking 9mm chambered compact 1911 from Israel. It has a 3″ barrel and uses an 8 round 9mm magazine.

Davidson’s are distributing this TALO limited edition Ruger Vaquero fitted with a Birds Head Grip.

Ruger has added a lightweight model to their Ruger 22/45 .22 LR pistol line. The Lite model features a lightweight aluminum receiver.

Smith & Wesson has officially unveiled their new sub-compact Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Pistol chambered in 9mm and .40 S&W. Like the other M&P pistols, the Shield is polymer framed and striker fired. The MSRP is $449.

Really, what is there to say other than it costs $20.
