Texas-based Primary Arms have announced they’ve expanded with a new facility next to their Houston headquarters. The expansion doubles their warehouse facilities. At the same time, they have announced that Max Cowsert will become their Chief Merchandising Officer.

Fans of the Primary Arms series of Prism Optics will be happy to hear there is another reticle option now available for the GLx 2x Prism scope. The ACSS Gemini reticle has now been added to the lineup and is specifically designed around use for 9mm PCCs and pistols. The optic will be priced right at $370 meaning it will come in at nearly one-third of the cost of other similar prism scopes from some of the top competitors. I own a few different lower power prism scopes and I have even reviewed one of the Primary Arms’ prism scopes in the past and was surprised at the quality of the build and clarity of the glass.

While I am not a huge fan of off-body carry, I do understand how there can be certain circumstances where you can’t or wouldn’t want to carry a firearm on your person. Primary Arms is a prolific optics manufacturer. Their house-brand optics product lines span dozens of models of riflescopes, LPVOs, prism scopes, red dots, and magnifiers – along with a cavalcade of various mounts and accessories to support them. With only a half-dozen of the current models requiring a cash outlay north of the $1000 mark, and the overwhelming majority of their options sitting at less than $500 MSRP, Primary Arms tends to weight affordability, and they strive for value on a budget with the bulk of their glass. When they came to TFB and TFBTV’s recent GunFest, they brought three such optics along with them, some of their newest models. None of these were entirely new, never-before-seen announcements, as each has been discussed in some form here on TFB before, but they are examples of the Houston-based company’s latest offerings.

Primary Arms have published their 2021 catalog which includes a number of new products. In this article, we’ll take a look at the new family of compact prism scopes called SLx MicroPrism. These scopes are designed from the ground up and according to Primary Arms, have passed extensive endurance testing during the development such as withstanding 7000 rounds of .308 Win fired through a SCAR-17S. Currently, there are two sights in this product line – the non-magnified SLx 1x MicroPrism and the SLx 3x MicroPrism which has fixed 3-power magnification.

Primary Arms has just announced the release of their latest offering to the optics community – the SLx MD-20 Micro Red Dot sight. The SLx MD-20 aims to be one of the most budget-friendly red dot sights on the market and boasts some incredible features and specifications.

Now Primary Arms has announced that they are adding a collection of FN’s AR barrels to their product menu.

If you’ve ever shopped for gun stuff for more than a few seconds, chances are pretty good that you’ve come across Primary Arms. What started as a small budget optics maker has spent the last thirteen years growing into one of the firearms industry’s most prolific retailers, frequently mentioned in the same breath as major shops like Brownells, Optics Planet, and Midway USA. With supported brand names numbering in the hundreds, in addition to their own house-brand scopes and other equipment, this Texas-based operation offers a superfluity of guns and gear for a vast array of shooting-related disciplines. As a major supplier of inexpensive optics, Primary Arms Optics is continually seeking to provide shooters with new budget-friendly options. To this end, Primary Arms offers their SLx line of scopes and red dots, which are available with MSRPs of $479.99 or less. Many of these scopes are available with Primary Arms’ proprietary ACSS reticles.

In recent years, Holosun has significantly elevated the quality of their red dot optics from the strictly “budget” category to become legitimate serious contenders. Many of their products, such as the 507 series, are now worth mentioning in the same conversations with established standards like the Trijicon RMR. Primary Arms, who started as an optics company in their own right before expanding to be the full-scope supplier and firearms industry powerhouse they are today, share much in common with Holosun. Their early scopes were often relegated to the purely entry-level or plinker considerations sets and not seen as viable for more serious use. Over the years they have similarly grown their offerings and expanded into higher price points with notably higher quality levels to match.
