Primary Arms’ popular SLx 1-6×24 SFP Riflescope is receiving its fourth generational change and release soon. The fourth generation scope will now feature new reticle options, clearer glass, improved light transmission, and even greater durability than before. Primary Arms is also aiming to keep the price of this new generation of the SLx LPVO affordable at only $339.99.

Our friends at Primary Arms sent over their list of new optics that includes everything from red dots and prisms to a first focal plane (FFP) with a 56mm objective. Branded Odyssey 2023, these Primary Arms optics include binoculars and magnifiers on top of other optics made for various weapons platforms. The one Primary Arms Odyssey 2023 release that caught my attention immediately is also the smallest – the Autolive Battery Cap. This motion activated cap can be added to Primary Arms optics or other manufacturer’s optics to add “waking” capabilities to save battery life.

Equipping handguns with reflex sights becomes increasingly popular and quite frequently we learn about new players entering this market or companies expanding their offerings of optics-ready handgun products and sights. Primary Arms is no exception and they’ve recently released two new Classic Series handgun red dot sights – the Mini and Micro Reflex Sights. Let’s take a quick look at each of the new Primary Arms sights.

Not all of us can afford to mount a brand new Leupold or Nightforce variable magnification optic on our rifles (I know I can’t). Nonetheless, the desire to reach out and touch something dictates that we find something within our budgets. To help us with this there is the new Primary Arms SLx 4-16x44mm series of rifle scopes. Four new hunting-oriented optics have just been announced by Primary Arms as upgrades to their already existing SLx riflescope lineup. These new optics include the 3-9x40mm and 3-9x50mm, 4-12x40mm, and 4-12x50mm SLx HUNTER riflescopes. Each one of these optics has been optimized for hunting applications and helps to increase visibility on targets, and duplex-style reticles for precision shooting.

Primary Arms recently announced their new RS-10 Mini Reflex Sight, which is part of their ruggedized SLx optics lineup. The new SLx RS-10 miniature red dot has a 7075 aluminum housing with a 1x23mm reflex window that’s also night vision compatible. The SLx RS-10, Primary Arms’ first mini reflex sight has a reported battery life of 40,000 hours, no doubt assisted by the “autolive” function. Mounting options for silencers have grown in number over the past few years. With an endless number of thread pitches and directions, some have sought to improve upon the current system. One such company is Dead Air Silencers, who brought the KeyMo mounting system to market. Primary Arms and Expo Arms came together to provide a new muzzle device that works with this mounting system. This is the new Expo Arms KeyMo 1/2x28mm Muzzle Brake.

Fellow writer Nicholas C recently did a thorough review on the Primary Arms SLx 1x MicroPrism and both TFB staff and TFB readers seemed to have mixed feelings about it with most of the positive views on the 1x MicroPrism coming from those (like me) who have astigmatism and prefer etched glass over projected dots. Created by Dimitri Mikroulis and contributing company Primary Arms Optics, the ACSS Vulcan combines a center aiming chevron with a very useful large outer circle that aids the user in bringing the chevron within the limits of the window and has thus far become a very popular pistol mounted red dot reticle.
