CrossBreed Introduces The New Reign Adjustable IWB Holster

In the quest for an ideal everyday carry holster, you’ve likely amassed a collection that draws a curious if not judging side-eye from your significant other. I’m not speaking from personal experience, of course. Seriously. Fine, don’t believe me. CrossBreed Holsters, ever intent on adding fuel to the fire, just announced the new Reign Adjustable IWB Holster, designed to meet daily carry needs like comfort, security, speed, gear consideration, and clothing adaptability.

Great Expectations

Achieving this in one holster presents a significant challenge. Not one to back down from a lofty goal, CrossBreed claims the Reign delivers satisfying all-day wear with adjustability in both fit geometry and retention, ambidextrous versatility, suppressor-height sight accommodation, and cuts for standard and micro red dots, all in a single discreet carry package with rapid access.

Building Blocks

The CrossBreed Reign is a Kydex holster with a reversible dual-clip design for left or right-hand shooters, supporting the firearm and preventing sag by spreading the carry load across the belt. Ride height adjustability allows the wearer to dial in their precise point of comfort and accessibility, with dual-side mid-rise guards helping to eliminate hot spots and snag points against the body and clothing. This contributes to improved carry stability during extended activity, which can be further enhanced using CrossBreed’s optional Xecutive ModWing and Xecutive Wedge kits.

Weapon Security

While comfort is an important factor for any daily carry, safety and security reign supreme. See what I did there? With retention that can be customized in seconds, the CrossBreed Reign is designed to hold your handgun firmly in place, right where you expect it to be at all times. A covered magazine release is an additional security feature that eliminates the worry of ejecting the magazine unintentionally.

Let’s face it, practicality favors discretion in everyday carry, and a concealed IWB holster is the best way to achieve that. Although this subject is not without historical challenges, it is great to see companies addressing these while keeping in mind comfort, security, and compatibility with modern pistol configurations.

The Reign is currently on the CrossBreed website with an MSRP of $49.95 and models available across popular handgun platforms like Glock, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Springfield Armory, Taurus, and a variety of 1911s. Check it out here.

What do you think of the new CrossBreed Reign adjustable IWB holster? What is your preferred method of EDC? How many holsters do you have piled up at home? Are there any additional issues you would like to see addressed by holster manufacturers? All of these questions and more can be discussed in the comments below. Stay safe out there.

One of the things I love about my current Crossbreed IWB holster is the large leather paddle that keeps my M&P Shield from digging into the right side of my “Dad Bod”.

This new holster looks uncomfortable. And if it’s uncomfortable, it won’t get used.
