Luke C ( @BallisticAviation) is at GunCon 2024 hosted by @brownells  and @TheGunCollective  to talk with the guys from Stuff & Things. This company specializes in creating some pretty interesting AK accessories and conversion kits and their latest kit is the STizon magazine, a 9mm Luger helical magazine compatible with popular 9mm AKs like the PSA AK V, KP9, Draco, etc. Each magazine is sold in two different body configurations (clear polycarbonate or aluminum) and comes with all the necessary parts needed to convert your AK to use the magazine. 

Luke C ( @BallisticAviation) is back at GunCon 2024 with Ryan from KAK Industry to talk about their new Brownells Exclusive Uppers. Available in the most popular barrel and handguard lengths of the current industry, these new Brownells exclusive uppers give the user a KAK “Pentacomp” hybrid flash hider/compensator, a chrome-lined phosphate barrel, full-length M-LOK handguard, and of course a KAK KSPEC bolt carrier group. These new uppers should be retailing for around $650 and will be available exclusively on the Brownells website beginning in August 2024. The YC380 is the new modernized variant of the classic Hi-Point CF380 pistol. While the silver stripe on the side of the slide is a good callback to the original pistol, the new YC380 has new magazines, optics-ready capability, interchangeable backstraps, a dust cover Picatinny rail, a threaded barrel, and of course replaceable Glock compatible sights. Magpul added another crop of new items to their catalog for 2024, just like they do every year, but this time it’s not just AR stocks and grips. The latest model to get this treatment is the TLR-7; the new TLR-7 HL-X is a dual-fuel version of Streamlight’s weapon light for compact handguns and has more lumens and candela than the previous version. Hop stopped by the Streamlight booth at NRAAM 2024 to check out their new crop of lights.

Luke C is at the National Rifle Association’s 153rd Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Dallas, Texas checking out the new BOE Suppressors booth and their new user-serviceable nested monocore modular suppressor – the BOE Mod-1. The Mod-1 is a modification of their Ultra Compact Suppressor lineup. Like their predecessors, the Mod-1 lineup is rated for magnum hunting calibers like 375 H&H or 338RUM. The Mod-1 lineup has improved thermal dispersion, has thicker wear surfaces and can be configured to fit any aftermarket QD setup with 1.375-24 threads. BOE Model-1 should be available for purchase for around $1,200 around the end of June 2024.

Luke C is back on the floor at NRAAM 20204 talking with Jess from Colt about some of their new revolvers. In addition to a new 8″ long variant of the ever-popular Python line of revolvers, Colt is also re-releasing and updating the compact Viper, and introducing two new Bear-themed revolvers with the new Kodiak and Grizzly magnum revolvers.

Glock has finally added the 17L back to their lineup! New for 2024 the longest variant of 9mm Glock is now available with the Gen 5 upgrades and the MOS optics cut system. Hop stopped by the Glock booth at NRAAM 2024 to check out the Glock 17L Gen 5 MOS.

In this episode of TFBTV Show Time, Hop and Phil Strader struggle with technology and respecting personal space. The new SIG Connect app works in conjunction with a sensor module and reactive targets that sense hits and relay them to your phone to track hits, scores, and timing. The app has built-in drills and games that work with SIG’s special reactive targets, but it can also be used to track hits on any printable target. The former is mostly aimed at indoor shooting ranges that may want to add a special challenge to one of their lanes, while the latter is more suited for the individual shooter.

In this episode of TFBTV Show Time, Hop visits the Smith & Wesson booth at NRAAM 2024 to check out the new short barreled .300 Blackout version of the S&W/Gemtech GVAC upper. The GVAC system is a bore evacuator that significantly reduces gas blowback to the shooter’s face, which works well in conjunction with Gemtech’s new reduced back pressure suppressor series.

New for 2024, Trijicon has revamped their lineup of thermal weapon sights. The REAP-IR and IR-HUNTER thermals have improved image processing and onboard recording capability. As before, both versions are available with three sizes of objective lenses with the larger lenses having more base magnification.
