One of the most popular micro-compact pistols in the nation has just become a bit more accessible to even more Americans with the launch of the new CA Compliant SIG Sauer P365. VACATED: Federal Judge Knocks Down ATF Frame or Receiver Rule

A federal judge has vacated the ATF Final Rule that changed the definition of what constitutes a firearm under federal law in the United States. One Man's Garbage, Another Man's Gats? 250 Guns Found In Dumpster

An Oklahoma gun store is in a bit of hot water after ATF agents found hundreds of improperly disposed defective firearms in the store’s dumpster. According to the Oklahoma news broadcaster KOKH Local 12, nearly 250 firearms that were apparently “still functioning” were discovered by a sanitation worker who then called law enforcement. The remainder of the story should serve as a reminder to us all just how particular the ATF can get when it comes to their instructions regarding the destruction of firearms and other firearms equipment.

Breaking News: Rust Movie Involuntary Manslaughter Charges To Be Announced

According to mainstream news sources, Alec Baldwin and the armorer of the Rust movie, will be charged with involuntary manslaughter after a October 2021 incident involving a gun on the film set that resulted in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. ATF FINAL RULE: Factoring Criteria For Firearms With Stabilizing Braces

On the virtual eve of SHOT Show 2023, the Department of Justice is amending the regulations surrounding the clarification of firearms that constitute a rifle under federal law. At the heart of the ruling is the factoring criteria for firearms with stabilizing braces. Approximately 10 years ago, the ATF evaluated the first device designed to assist people with disabilities while shooting longer/heavier guns. Since then, the market for ‘pistol stabilizing braces’ grew exponentially, with most major manufacturers offering models with braces. The 300 page ruling focuses on six criteria, including weight and length, length of pull, type of sights, the design of the weapon, advertising materials, and general use throughout the community.

Firearms Transfer Record – Here Is The Newly Revised ATF 4473 – December 2022

ATF Form 4473 – the Firearms Transaction Record – is a relative household name to most American firearm owners. Consumers who purchase a firearm from a Federal Firearms License dealer are required to answer biographical, residence, criminal history, and other related questions as the first step towards taking ownership of their new gun. This is usually followed by a NICS or state-specific background check, unless the resident’s state allows a current firearms license as an alternative. The newly revised ATF 4473 application was announced a few days ago and now includes questions regarding privately made firearms and waiting periods for buyers under the age of 21.
