Michigan based Pratt & Miller Defense recently updated their Trackless Moving Targets- Infantry variant this year for I/ITSEC 2017. The company makes 4×4 vehicles (with targets mounted on them) that move autonomously on a training ground and react to fire. Right now it appears that the company has human-sized targets and full vehicle shaped ones but ideally as long as it can fit on the chassis, the vehicle could probably work with the target. The company is trying to create a solution for the infantry wherein it resembles a more realistic battlefield instead of stationary Ivan targets that mechanically drop down when hit.

If you’ve ever shot or stood next to someone shooting a pistol or SBR AR or AK you know how loud they can be. This is especially true if they’re using a traditional style muzzle brake with side ports. For this reason “ Krinkov style” muzzle brakes are very popular on pistols and SBRs. They redirect the concussion and sound forward and away from the shooter while still offering a bit of recoil reduction. I stumbled on an interesting new lightweight muzzle brake from V Seven Weapons called the Helios that does just that.

The Department of Justice anticipates issuing a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) that would interpret the statutory definition of “machinegun” in the National Firearms Act of 1934 and Gun Control Act of 1968 to clarify whether certain devices, commonly known as “bump fire” stocks, fall within that definition. Before doing so, the Department and ATF need to gather information and comments from the public and industry regarding the nature and scope of the market for these devices.

If any firearm company in the last month has been kicked around more than Slidefire, I would like to hear about it. After a horrific event of historic magnitude occurred in Las Vegas where a Slidefire stock was used they have been completely murdered in the press.

A Californian company called Aeon Tac makes aluminum AR-15 stocks called LWB (Light Weight Billet). The stock is machined out of a billet 6061 aluminum and as the name implies, it is quite lightweight weighing only 7 oz. It is an adjustable stock with 3″ difference between the fully collapsed and extended positions.

Superior Shooting Systems, the company founded by David Tubb, has introduced a new muzzle device called 5 Star Muzzle Brake. It is designed for 6mm (.243) caliber rifles. Obviously, it will be compatible with smaller calibers and if you want to use this muzzle brake with calibers larger than 6mm, then you’ll need to increase the exit hole diameter.
