UK Selects Thermis CS for Sniper In-Line Low Light System

The British Army have selected the Thermis CS thermal imaging system to fulfil their requirement for a Sniper In-Line Low Light System or SILLS. The contract was awarded following an international tender and is worth up to $11.5 million. The initial order is for 500 systems but more may be procured within the contract. The Thermis CS is produced by Greece-based Theon Sensors and delivery of the first batch of Thermis CS are expected in 2022.

New Wraith 4K Mini Digital Riflescope from Sightmark

There is a new compact digital riflescope from Sightmark called the Wraith 4K Mini 2-16×32, intended for hunting using night vision or daytime color modes. It uses a 3840×2160 pixels CMOS sensor that can detect objects up to 300 yards away in extreme darkness. The display is a 1280×720 FLCOS screen, and you can record AVI format videos in 1080p.

Kahles Goes Thermal – HELIA TI 35 & TI 25 Thermal Imaging Spotters

In a recent online Press Conference, the Austrian optics manufacturer Kahles released their first-ever thermal imaging products. Named HELIA TI these thermal imaging devices come in either a 25 mm or a 35 mm version, where the larger number means better thermal performance.
