TFB Review: Parker Mountain Machine's P320 Micro Compensator

In the past, I have written up reviews on both the single and double port P320 compensators from Parker Mountain Machine. Like many of you, I almost always have different gun projects in the works and I wanted to test out some different products for my smaller P320s. One of the more recent things that caught my eye was the P320 Micro compensator for compact and subcompact slide lengths. I have enjoyed shooting with the full-size compensators but the micro made me wonder how much performance can come from a small comp like that. I’ve had this set up installed the last few weeks and after around 850 rounds, I have enough time under my belt to tell you my thoughts. Let’s take a closer look at the PMM P320 Micro compensator.

TFB Review: Wilson Combat SFX9 15-Round Carry Pistol

Wilson Combat has always been a company unafraid to let people know exactly what they produce as a company, with uncompromising quality and extreme precision.  They have also never been afraid to ask premium prices for their work.  Most Wilson firearms are 2500 dollars or more depending on how you spec them out.  So when I first heard about their new 15-round SFX9 9mm pistol being marketed as a carry gun with an MSRP of $2,895, I had to give it a try.  The new variant of the SFX9 follows a trend many companies seem to be jumping on with a short slide and barrel and a larger mid-size frame allowing for a higher capacity.

Everything from “10mm is more reliable than 9mm” to “people should carry two guns instead of a spare magazine“. Throughout my time listening to other people, there are a few things people should try that may make their life easier in the long run. I’m not saying these options will be the best thing around but they may help you out. Let’s take a closer look at some new items to start carrying.

TFB Review: The Slick-Sided CZ P10 M Micro Compact Pistol

The CZ P10 M pistol was released in Europe in 2019, then in the US in 2020. The US market was polarized and seems to be one of those concepts that people either love or hate. What’s so controversial about the CZ P10 M, you ask? It really comes down to the omission of one part, the manual slide release, not to be confused with a slide stop in this case, as it still has one that locks the slide to the rear after the last round is fired. Let’s take a look at the pros and cons of this concept, as well as how the CZ P10 M actually feels, conceals, and shoots.

Concealed Carry Corner: How To Carry Without A Belt

For the vast majority of my time, a belt-mounted holster is the way to go. Whether it’s inside or outside the waistband, a belt-mounted holster is a great option for everyday use. There are a decent amount of times though, I run into a situation where I want to carry a gun without having pants with a belt look. Whether it’s board shorts or a pair of sweat pants, having a lack of belt support can be a real issue if you carry a belt-mounted holster for the majority of the time. TFB Review: Springfield Armory .45 ACP XD-M Elite 3.8″ Compact OSP Pistol

The concealed carry market is, in my opinion, the most diverse in the industry. Everybody is different, and due to their differences in physical geometry, preferences, and circumstances, many different types of firearms are needed. For me, I live in a place where I’m mostly concerned with two-legged predators, but I also don’t spend too much time away from home. A medium-sized, single-stack 9mm is what you’ll usually find inside my waistband. However, that pistol isn’t necessarily suitable for all situations. One of my jobs includes traveling around the state. This lands me in remote areas, as well as some…less desirable parts of the city. In these cases, something more capable is my preference. It doesn’t get more capable than a compact, high-capacity, heavy caliber pistol with a red dot. That’s exactly what this review is about. The Springfield Armory XD-M Elite 3.8″ Compact OSP holds as many rounds of .45 ACP as it has words in its name, and I’m here to give you my take on its viability as a concealed carry option.

A fairly common topic I get asked about is deciding what to carry on your body every day and what’s considered excessive. The last couple of weeks I have gone over what I personally carry and some of the accessories I like to carry on a daily basis. What the problem turns into is having everything you may need on your body which becomes extremely fatiguing over a full day. There are a lot of people who are “prepared” and carry several knives, a medkit on their leg and multiple firearms. It’s important to prioritize based on certain items. Let’s take a closer look at some concealed carry priorities.
