Back in February of 2018, we published an article telling about a Sureshot Armament Group AK chassis/handguard system called MK2. The installation of MK2 required removal of the rear sight block and gas block and reinstallation of the latter. Century Arms to Resume Importing WASR Rifles Chambered in 5.56x45mm

Century Arms has posted this photo on their social media pages accompanied with a caption that reads: “Long time no see!“. For most of the folks in the US AK community, this was a clear hint that they are going to resume the importation of Romanian WASR rifles chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO / .223 Remington. Many of the AK media sources immediately started speculating with the possible upcoming reintroduction of these rifles and some have even confirmed it. Particularly, AK Operators Union said on their Facebook page: “Yes, 5.56×45 Wasr is coming, yes we will review it!“.

Arsenal SAM7R-68 – SAM7 Series Rifle With a New Handguard

Arsenal Inc., the importer of Bulgarian AKs, has announced the availability of a new iteration of their milled receiver SAM7 rifles. This new version of the rifle is called SAM7R-68. Zastava Developing New Modular Assault Rifle

Serbia’s Zastava Arms, best known for their AK-pattern M70, have been developing a new rifle for the past couple of years. Back in 2017, TFB reported that they were working on a new rifle chambered in a 6.5mm cartridge. DNO Firearms DX-7 Rifle With Prototype 3D Printed Polymer Receivers

DNO Firearms has published a video where they test a DX-7 rifle with 3D printed polymer receivers. The DX-7 rifle is basically an improved AK that utilizes upper and lower receiver layout still using many standard AK parts with no or minor changes. TR9 PARADOX – Saiga-9 Chambered in .345 TK

The Russian .345 TK cartridge was released at the beginning of the current year. It was designed to be chambered in pistol caliber carbines for the Russian civilian market. TR3 – The Civilian Version of AK-12 and AK-15 Rifles

Brown Bear 7.62x39mm SUBSONIC Ammunition Now Available

K-VAR Corp. has announced that the new Brown Bear 7.62x39mm Subsonic ammunition is now available in the US. As in the case of other Brown Bear branded ammunition, the new subsonic 7.62x39mm ammo is also made in Russia by the Barnaul Cartridge Plant.
