POTD: Lever Action Rifle Meets Thermion 2 LRF XP50 PRO

TFB’s Photo Of The Day features images of firearms in different configurations and from various places each day. Over the years, it’s developed into a series of articles that thousands of our readers enjoy. I really need some lever action gun in my life, and I thought this version from the Night Vision Guys did the trick. It’s the perfect example of tradition, from the Civil War to World War I when the US was a lever-gun nation, combined with a modern, digital and thermal riflescope.

Night Vision Guys:

Technologically advanced, the Thermion 2 LRF XP50 PRO boasts built-in photo and video recording, and it has Wi-Fi connectivity, to upload data to the Stream Vision 2 App. Further, the Thermion 2 LRF XP50 PRO can withstand calibers from 12 gauge, 9.3×64 and .375 H&H, and it is rated IPX7 completely waterproof, so you can use it in the harshest of weather conditions.

The thermal riflescope features a 640×480 microbolometer resolution that detects heat signatures up to 2,000 yards away.

On top of the scope and in-line with the optics, there’s a laser rangefinder so that you can accurately range potential targets, and avoid shots that are too far away. Quite important on a lever gun like this, as the ballistics is usually intended for closer ranges.

Check out our TFB Review: Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XP50 Pro Thermal Riflescope, which is quite extensive with images and videos. The article also features a bunch of modern firearms, in case this lever gun did it for you.

What do you think about the combination?
