Watchtower Demolitia 1911: Ported And Double-Stacked Firepower

Watchtower has announced yet another double-stack 1911 pistol. This time, it’s the new limited-production Demolitia 1911, coming chambered in 9x19mm, designed with help from YouTuber Matt Carriker of Demolition Ranch.

Watchtower @ TFB:

Limited Edition Firepower

Watchtower CEO Jason Colosky says the new pistol is the next evolution of their Precision Double-Stacked 1911 platform. It’s their first full-sized ported model, with a custom PVD finish and “configurations to match the exacting tolerances and accuracy that you have come to expect from Watchtower’s firearms.” Well, they would say that, wouldn’t they? But according to Watchtower’s big boss, this will help you get more rounds on target whether you’re in a competition or looking for defensive firepower. Speaking of rounds on target, the pistol will ship with two 17-round mags and two 20-round mags, with the higher capacity coming from that double-stack design.

Colosky also says they’re limiting production, but doesn’t say how many units they’re making the cut-off at. Judge for yourself whether this statement really makes a difference, because, by the realities of production, even the Ruger 10/22 is limited production at the macro level…

However, Colosky does say the first 500 pistols in this line will be offered with an exclusive VIP package. See the photo below for its contents.

As for Carriker, he says the new pistol “has a near-to-perfect return to zero due to its barrel porting, with remarkable PVD buttery coatings that provide a corrosion-resistant finish against the elements … This limited edition pistol will last several lifetimes and is American-made. I wouldn’t put my name and reputation behind this product if I didn’t believe in it 100 percent.”

Looking at the spec list below, the pistol does indeed come set up for fast shooting, with high-spec components and a high-priced $4,799 MSRP to match. But this kind of flash firepower doesn’t come cheap.

Expect the new pistol in the winter of 2025. Aside from the specs below, see more info on the Watchtower website here.

This is probably a fine gun. And it better be for that money.

But right now i wouldn't touch Watchtower (formerly F-1) with a 12 ft pole. They are in a nasty lawsuit between the different owners. So you may not get any product support at best, or lose the 5k price and never receive a gun at worst.
