Have you ever wondered what you’d do if you could only ever own three guns? Let’s suppose you’ve got an unlimited budget, but for some reason, you can only get 3 more guns and you’ll never be able to get new ones again - what would you pick in this scenario? While this is unlikely to ever happen in real life, this simple question often exposes what most of us find important in our daily lives when it comes to guns. For this first round of answers from our TFB writers, I’ve brought on Adam S and Paul B to give their own bids into this fun little discussion. Today I hope you’ll also join us in the discussion (before or after listening to the podcast!) to share with us your three guns and why you picked them! We’ll be revisiting this topic over the next couple of episodes and maybe even beyond that, we’d love for you to join the discussion with us as it adapts with new guests.

TFB Behind The Gun Podcast #129: TFB's Minimalist 3 Gun Setup

We've all probably thought about it at one time or another: "If money wasn't an issue but I could only pick three guns to use for the rest of my life, what would they be?" This is often a common thought experiment I've seen in various forms during my time as a firearms owner and today we're bringing all of you some direct answers straight from the knowledgeable yet eclectic TFB staff. For this first discussion, we're bringing on seasoned TFB writer and AllOutdoor.com Managing Editor Adam Scepaniak, as well as AOD and OHUB writer Paul B to talk about their own picks for their minimalist three gun setup, in addition to some extra talk about forgotten cartridges we miss or wish were more popular. Of course, we'd like to hear from our audience too! What would be your three picks for guns if you could only own three for the rest of your life? Thanks again for tuning in to TFB's Behind the Gun Podcast, we're looking forward to hearing from you soon!

    Nagant M1895 Revolver

Mossberg Maverick with a rattle can camo job

Thats about as minimalist as I think you can get. LOTS of cash left for ammo.

Stoner 63a - gives you 6 guns in one receiver - Rifle/carbine/bren style mag fed MG/ beltfed SAW/ Tripod mounted MG and a fixed coax MG for your Cadillac Gage V-100 turret that you bought since you didn't spend all that money on a huge MG collection.

Swedish K or Beretta PM12s or for the lame a MP5 but in 10mm - every one needs a SMG.

Wilson Combat EDC X9 Pistol for CCW - any good quality 9mm pistol for carry will do but style counts as well as reliability.

BTW screw the shotguns. I don't bird hunt any more and I'd rather use a rifle/carbine or SMG for defense anyway.
