Sharps Bros, the manufacturer of Warthog, Hellbreaker, Overthrow and The Jack lower receivers, has introduced a new AR-15 upper receiver. It is specifically made to perfectly match the mentioned lower receivers although it will also be compatible with any mil-spec one.

Meridian Defense Corporation offers a new AK build called VOLK. The choice of parts and the overall layout of the rifle is really well thought out. If the AK is the weapon platform of your choice, then something like the VOLK rifle will be an ultimate all-around gun.

Spike’s Tactical is known for their one-of-a-kind lower receivers and generally great products primarily relating to the AR-15 platform. By pairing up with Sharps Bros. they have created billet machined skulls, wild pigs and a multitude of other lowers that are flat out cool as heck!

We’ve already seen all kinds of stylized magazine wells of AR-15 lower receivers – skulls, hog heads and whatnot. Looks like for 2017 the helmet styled magwells are in trend. Two companies offer them right now.

Jim Grant is at Rifle Dynamics and got to check out their AK DMR. The receiver is milled steel and has an integrated M4 buffer tube adapter in the rear of the receiver.
