Compensators used to be something you’d only ever find on competition-oriented guns. It seems as the concealed carry community has grown, however, more and more people are opting to train and carry pistols with compensators on them. It is for this reason that Faxon Firearms has developed and added three brand new options to their growing EXOS pistol compensator lineup to include compatibility with some of the newest modern concealed carry handguns on the market.

A safety recall has been issued by Kimber Manufacturing in regards to their striker-fired R7 Mako handgun. The R7 Mako safety recall was announced on February 23rd and applies to R7 models that were shipped between January 10th, 2022, and February 14th, 2022. The R7 Mako safety recall was issued after Kimber discovered a quality issue surrounding the firing pin safety block. Customers who own one of the affected models are entitled to a free examination by Kimber to fix the issue.

I’ve been shooting competitively for a couple years now. I haven’t taken it too seriously and the number of matches I’ve attended is still in the single digits. In all of those competitions, I’ve shot my mostly stock third-generation Glock 19. The pistol is a workhorse but is by no means aimed at competitive shooters.
