HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Arizona State or State of Shame?

Welcome everyone to the 214th edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only have Fudd appeal?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

Atlantic Firearms Brings the Bling with a 24K Gold AK

I’m a meat and potatoes kind of guy, and honestly, I’ve never been one for flashy firearms. My go-to colors are black and tan. But when my inbox had the announcement from Atlantic Firearms about this 24K Gold AK, I couldn’t help but drool a tiny bit. Is it gaudy? Yes. Tacky even? Oh my, absolutely! But something about how well the finish job on this gun came out makes me just want to hold it for a little while and pretend I didn’t just have to decide between beef or chicken ramen this week.

[ADIHEX 2019] Intro and Some Eye Candy

ADIHEX, the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, is an annual event towards the end of the, scorching hot, summer in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As the name implies, this is not firearms dedicated show, but the “hunting guns” area alone is usually worth a visit, if anything to understand what are the models which catch the interest of the local populations.

Magnum Research Offers Gallery of Guns Exclusive Desert Eagle

It’s again one of those times of the year when the Desert Eagle’s eggs hatch. Again, as per tradition, the livery of the newborns shows a certain degree of boldness. Overall, the black and gold combination we have here appears somewhat less aggressive than other options. Definitely,  Magnum Research knows the tastes of its customer base, and our very own HGFC series shows that the OEM still has better judgment.

Gold IWI Tavor Rifles Spotted With The Thailand King's Guard

The Thailand King’s Guard was recently seen sporting a gold colored Tavor rifle. Curiously, there appears to be only two photo thus far posted on Reddit, 9gag and Bron Milmag’s Facebook page. The first photo below is blurry and appears to come from a screen capture from television footage, while the second image is much clearer from Bron Milmag. It’s a possibility that the Tavor was decorated specifically for the wedding that just took place, in which King Vajiralongkorn married his Deputy Commander of the King’s Own Bodyguard Regiment. You can read more about that event HERE. The timing of the wedding and these two photos suggest that a gold Tavor is not a common sight in Thailand, or… anywhere else.

Boardroom Series of Pistols: NEW Nighthawk Custom Chairman Longslide

Nighthawk Custom, the quality custom shop from Arkansas, is used to having one gunsmith labor to build one gun at a time. With their new Boardroom Series of pistols, this should be pretty evident. AK-74 Gold Necklace

There must be something wrong with me. Of all the things that could have made me feel nostalgic about not having a girlfriend this holiday season (thats right ladies, I am single!), the thing that did it was a gold AK-47 necklace … it would have made the perfect Christmas present.
