Miroslav emailed in this photo, from Spiegel.de, showing two German policemen carrying tricked-out Steyr AUG A3 rifles. This is the first photo I have seen of police using the AUG.

The Bundeswehr’s H&K G28 Designated Marksman Rifle is one nice looking, albeit heavy, rifle.

The German company SIGG, who developed the double-pistols I recently blogged about, are well known for their FSSG drop-in full-auto selector switches for Glock pistols.

German firm Nobilta-TWM is making an interesting 10mm Auto chambered pistol. The pistol looks like it has been inspired both the Auto Mag and the Desert Eagle. It appears to be gas operated, although one of our German speaking readers will have to confirm this (the Google translation does not make much sense).

While interned in a POW camp during WWI Louis Marquis designed a .22 belt buckle gun. He later received a patent the design and during WWII was commissioned by Himmler to produce prototypes. It is thought that about 12 were made.

German company Roedale Precision unveiled a nifty new stock system for the Howa M1500, Tikka T3 and Remington 700 rifle actions at the IAW 2010 expo. It features a massive milled aluminum block for bedding the action.
