Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 3! Last week we showcased some deals from Aero Precision on their various components for AR-15 rifles. This week we’re checking out some deals on the hottest new trend in the concealed carry world – micro compact 9mm pistols. Micro compacts offer concealed carriers the capacity of older compact legends like the Glock 19 and give them the discreet carrying ability that guns like the first generation Smith & Wesson M&P Shield feature. While micro compacts may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I absolutely love the concept and I find that most of the latest offerings in this genre make for great all-year-round carrying pieces. The Springfield Hellcat Pro is one of the latest additions to the micro compact concealed carry pistol market. While the base gun does in fact feature a pretty aggressive textured grip and according to fellow writer Nic L it was “attractive and aggressive without causing discomfort”, I know there are some of you out there who absolutely love super abrasive grip textures for hot summer months. Talon Grips has just announced that they’ve added a new lineup of their well-renowned gun grip tape specifically for the Hellcat Pro. These new Springfield Hellcat Pro grips will be available at the time of this article’s publishing and will be sold starting at $19.99.

In a bit of a recent gun-industry surprise, Smith & Wesson has just introduced the new CSX micro-compact pistol. The new metal-framed single-action pistol will initially come chambered in 9mm and will feature a unique aluminum alloy frame complete with ambidextrous controls and of course interchangeable backstraps as are popular with the M&P series of pistols. So what’s up with the new Smith & Wesson CSX?

Savage Arms has just introduced their new micro-compact EDC handgun, the Stance 9mm pistol. With the introduction of the Stance, Savage marks their return to the arena of concealed carry and self-defense-oriented handguns and according to a press release by Savage, will only be the first in a new family of handguns to come further down the line. The new pistol features an 18° grip angle, ambidextrous controls, ported slide, and a removable chassis that will allow for interchangeable grips. Full details in the press release are below.

Micro-compact carry pistols have become probably one of the most oversaturated parts of the firearms market right next to AR-15’s. While I used the term oversaturated, I don’t necessarily think that is such a bad thing, it just means we have lots of options and almost everyone (almost) can be satisfied with at least one of the options that are out there. No longer are sub-compact or micro-compact 9mm carry pistols relegated to being low-capacity pieces with triggers that require a dedicated personal trainer for your trigger finger. Most modern micro-compact carry pistols can be had with lots of great extra features, simple and pleasant ergonomics, and rivaling capacities only found in full-sized handguns. Today as part of TFB’s 12 Days of Christmas, we’ll take a look at some of the current lineup of micro-compact carry pistols available to you if you’re looking to pick up a new carry piece.

The newest iteration of Taurus’ successful GX4 micro-compact 9mm pistol is finally here. The Taurus GX4 T.O.R.O (Taurus Optics Ready Option) has just been announced. It will be compatible with many of the market’s most popular red dot sights and features a lot of flexibility in terms of optics selection for budget-minded customers. If you’ll remember, we reviewed the Taurus GX4 when it was released earlier this year and so far I and Hop of TFBTV have been very pleased with the pistol but have been anticipating the release of the T.O.R.O version of the pistol which we had assumed would be coming soon due to the fact that the G3C T.O.R.O worked so well.

In this episode of TFBTV, Hop reviews the new optics-ready Mossberg MC2SC. This double-stack micro 9mm carry handgun has a standard capacity of 11 rounds and a super low optics cut that allows the factory iron sights to cowitness through a red dot. This is the first pistol in the Mossberg MC series that it’s easy to get excited about, and it may even be able to stand out in a highly competitive market.

The micro-compact striker-fired pistol market just received its latest contender! Joining the ranks of Glock, SIG Sauer, and Springfield, the new Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus is the latest double-stack 9mm micro-compact pistol to put its name in the ring. Although Smith & Wesson is a little bit late to the game, I was more than excited when they sent me out one for testing and review as I have been impatiently anticipating the release of this pistol since the introduction of the M&P Shield 9EZ back in 2019. So is the M&P Shield Plus going to sink or swim in the waters of the micro-compact 9mm carry pistol arena? Let’s find out.

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves has the privilege of unveiling the S&W M&P Shield Plus to YouTube. The Shield Plus is a 9mm micro-compact double-stack handgun. Springfield Armory has been teasing us for the last month on social media that today they were going to debut a NEW “class leading firearm,” and now that day has arrived! Their new firearm has achieved a feat many of us did not believe was possible until recent by magically stacking 11 rounds of 9mm into an ultra-slim, micro-compact frame. Well, the Springfield Armory Hellcat has surpassed that by having the ability to tote around 12 rounds of the industry’s favorite cartridge in 9mm for defense.
