The Original Banish 46

The Banish 46 is part of Silencer Central’s in-house line of silencers. It sits at the top of the range in terms of caliber compatibility, handling everything from 5.56 NATO up to the .45-70 Government. That broad caliber range is not the only flexibility in this design. It also has a removable front module and can run in short or long configurations, depending on whether maneuverability or suppression is most important.

Another feature that allows the Banish 46 to work on many guns is the range of attachment systems. Users have the option of a direct thread mount, a piston/booster assembly for tilting-barrel pistols, or a quick detach muzzle brake. Silencer Central offers thread adapters for all common options, and many less-common options. In addition to Silencer Central’s mount options, the Banish 46 has HUB threading so it is compatible with mounts from across the industry.

The Banish 46-V2

The new Banish 46-V2 differs in several ways from the original suppressor. It is smaller and lighter, with a smaller outer diameter. It is not modular, and its length is comparable to the short configuration of the original Banish 46. Another difference is the coating, which is now Cerakote instead of the Gun Kote finish from the original. The first Banish was full auto rated, while the new model is not. Suppressors rated for automatic fire tend to be heavier, and cutting weight was a design goal for the V2. There are also not many full auto .450 Bushmasters or .45-70 rifles around, so giving up that feature is not much of a loss for this type of can.

Like the original Banish 46, the 46-V2 is backed by the Banish warranty. It is also user serviceable for easy cleaning.

From the manufacturer:

“The BANISH 46-V2 suppressor is designed for use with a wide assortment of rifle calibers including .338 Lapua up to the mighty .45-70 Government and the popular 450 Bushmaster as well as .44 Magnum. It is also popular for pistol calibers, including 10mm and .45ACP.
Made of titanium, the extremely durable Banish 46-V2 is lightweight at just 15.3 oz. It is only 8 inches long and 1.59 inches in diameter, making it a very compact suppressor for big-caliber rifles. Don’t let the smaller size fool you, as the BANISH 46-V2 offers a 30-decibel reduction in sound output.
Like other BANISH suppressors, the 46-V2 is a user-serviceable suppressor that is easily disassembled for cleaning. Being made of titanium, you can easily clean the baffles in a tumbler, ultrasonic cleaner, or by hand with a brush and solvent, making it simple to keep operating at peak performance. Reassembly is just as easy, thanks to the keyed and indexed baffles. This guarantees that each one will line up perfectly with the others.
The BANISH 46-V2 was designed to be the perfect all-in-one suppressor, making it a great choice for shooters looking to buy just one silencer to use on multiple firearms. It is more maneuverable than other big-bore suppressors thanks to its compact design and lightweight. If there can be only one silencer, make it a 46-V2!”
