POTD: Ohio Ordnance Works HCAR - The Ultimate .30-06?

I most likely will never own one, but I think Ohio Ordnance Works is now my favorite gun maker. At least for today. The HCAR (Heavy Counter Assault Rifle) is a modernized version of the iconic M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR), and this beast is chambered in .30-06. I love the color too, although I’m not sure what they call it. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was as simple as Flat Dark Earth, but I think they should have done the magazine as well while they were at it. The side charger looks very similar to the one on my LWRCI REPR Mk II Elite.

You have been watching and reading TFB's Photo Of The Day. Thank you, and see you again tomorrow!

As you surely are aware, we have a comments section and you are welcome to shoot your comments either agreeing to my love of this HCAR or telling me I’m wrong. Let it RIP!

HCAR is a cool gun, but would be exponentially cooler if the Hughes Amendment hadn't neutered it.
