New Angstadt Arms Vanquish 22 Zero Baffle Integral 10/22 Barrel

We’ve come a long way since Dad’s old 10/22, with chassis, binary triggers, and all manner of accessories and attachments available for the iconic platform. I am not nearly the tinkerer today that I once was, and need a good reason to swap out OEM parts, but Angstadt Arms might do just that with the company’s new Vanquish 22 Integrally Suppressed Barrel. Promising incredible sound suppression, simplified maintenance, and seamless integration with the Ruger 10/22, well, I’m all ears… See what I did there? I’m a dad now and therefore cleared to make dad jokes.

Keeping Things Clean

The Vanquish 22 integrally suppressed barrel boasts an innovative zero baffle system and ported barrel designed to eliminate challenges associated with traditional rimfire suppressors, reducing excessive lead buildup and making maintenance nearly effortless. I remember the days when I loved to set everything out on a table and have a cleaning day. Those are long since past me. Guns are for shooting, not cleaning. So far, so good.

It’s All Subsonic

Angstadt Arms has also eliminated the need for any type of specialty ammo to make this a noise-free experience. By precision porting the barrel, standard .22LR ammunition bleeds off energy into the integrated suppressor, reducing it to subsonic speeds for an incredibly quiet shooting experience with almost any type of ammo. (Due to the Bentz match chamber, the Vanquish 22 is not compatible with CCI Stinger hyper-velocity ammunition because the Stinger case is slightly longer at .702″ versus .613″ for a traditional 22LR case.) This is the same clever trick used by the legendary MP5-SD. Strike two against my wallet.

Going on strike, or not…

Speaking of strikes, if there are no baffles, then that means… NO BAFFLE STRIKES! Okay, I did it again. Don’t judge me! I have personally never experienced a baffle strike, but I can imagine the disappointment that comes with destroying your suppressor or having to send it in.

Construction

The heart of the Vanquish 22 is the 416R stainless steel 18.5” 0.920″ bull barrel which is then shrouded by 6061 aluminum and Cerakoted in black, silver, or FDE. It features a Bentz match chamber and is button-rifled with a 1:16 twist rate with an overall weight of 1.3 lbs. It is made in the U.S.A. by great people in Charlotte, North Carolina.

With fewer cleaning headaches, whisper-quiet shooting, no risk of baffle strikes, and hassle-free drop-in installation, Angstadt Arms says the Vanquish 22 is the “ultimate integrally suppressed barrel designed to redefine your rimfire shooting experience.”

Well, they certainly have my attention, and if they have yours too, the Vanquish 22 will be available for sale on the Angstadt Arms website on September 26th at 10 AM EST with an MSRP of $599.

Let me know in the comments below what you think of the Vanquish 22. Would it be a useful addition to your 10/22?
