HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Diamonds and Gold or Tired and Old?

Welcome everyone to the 250th Edition of 'Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?', one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question - is this Gat a sweet deal or only have Fudd appeal? Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you, the readers, decided the Yellow custom SCAR 17 was just fudd crap. 

At this time the original auction is still up with a current bid of $2,525 with No Reserve. We don’t know who will take home this big yellow FN, but we hope it makes its way to a new home shortly. 

In this week's edition of HGFC, we look at a diamond-covered Walther PPK chambered .380 Auto. As is tradition, this gold and diamond is currently up for sale on GunBroker for $34,999 Starting Bid or $35,000 Buy It Now.

The problem for me was the lack of any sort of wow factor. I’d almost wish it were lighter as it doesn’t feel like a spy gun, but it certainly didn’t benefit from any lightweight materials or modern polymer when it was designed. Sure it’s one of those guns I’d like to own, but I’d never think to customize. I think when I eventually pick one up I’ll opt for one a little cheaper and maybe get a boat instead.
