Heckler & Koch USA, the new American side of the H&K family, is focused on the US civilian market. The all-new CC9 is a slim concealed carry pistol with the kind of feature set we have all come to expect on this type of gun. But what sets it apart is the brutal and extensive testing it endured before making it to market.

H&K @ TFB:

Our own James Reeves already has significant time with the gun, dating back to a media event with prototype CC9 pistols several years ago. Be sure to check out his video on the TFBtv channel for all the details.

The CC9 is the first product designed and tested here in the United States by HK USA. Though this is a new product, HK USA used the same kinds of rigorous testing that H&K is famous for. Those tests included all of the standard NATO small arms reliability tests, as well as a new “lint test” created for the concealed carry world.

Here's HK's video announcing the CC9:

HK USA loaded the CC9 with all the features you would want on a concealed carry pistol. It is less than one inch wide, full ambidextrous, and has an RMSc-footprint optics cut. But it also incorporates features more frequently seen on full-size handguns, like changeable backstraps and a Picatinny rail for light mounting. The front sight features a tritium lamp, and the rear sight is blacked out. HK USA includes two magazines with the CC9, a 10-round flush fit and a 12-round extended. The serialized component is a not the frame, but a chassis within the frame, leaving open options for future changes.

Designed and produced in the US for the US Concealed-Carry market, the CC9 is held to the same global quality standard as all HK firearms.
ReliABLE: Engineered with Heckler & Koch’s signature precision and rigorous testing, the CC9 is held to the same standards as full-size duty pistols and tested to the NATO Army Armaments Group AC/225 standards. The CC9 was subjected to a battery of tests including extreme temperatures, dust, sand, mud and being dropped to simulate real world conditions. Built to HKs’ renowned durability standards, the CC9 had over 750 thousand rounds fired during development and testing. The CC9 is built to perform flawlessly in the most demanding conditions, offering the reliability that users have come to expect from Heckler & Koch."

Chambered in 9mm, the CC9 comes equipped with a 10-round and 12-round magazine for flexibility in concealment offering unparalleled ease of carry without sacrificing capacity. The CC9’s sleek, slim, smoothed, and lightweight design features mirrored ambidextrous controls including slide-stop and magazine release.
Safety is integral to the CC9’s design. The pistol is equipped with a robust array of safety features, including a trigger safety, passive firing pin safety, Out-of-Battery safety and Safe Take Down Feature for safe disassembly – no need to pull the trigger during field-striping. Additionally, the CC9 includes a visual and tactile loaded chamber indicator built-in to the extractor.
Designed for modern concealed carry, the CC9 is compatible with a wide range of accessories, including lights and lasers, with its integrated Picatinny-style accessory rail. Optics can be mounted directly to the slide featuring a RMSc / 407k footprint compatible with most modern micro-dots.

People are saying late to game. I think there is room. The Sig, while dominate and in my bag next to me, is not great to use. The Hellcat feels the same. I'm hoping this has a touch more VP9SK and less ultra-micro. I need a safety model though. I will not carry a drawn bow at my jewels with a light SA trigger and no safety.

Now... for the really unfortunate news. People say Taurus, but I see this CC9 as the Walther PPS M3 that was never made. I do not know how Walther makes that pistol now. What could it possibly do to compete? (hint: PADDLES)

So is it a partially cocked striker action like a Glock or is the striker fully cocked (like I believe is the case with the VP9)?
