[NRA 2019] Blackwater is Back in Black!
Blackwater is back and stronger than ever with them bringing some awesome products to market. Now don’t think this is just a company using the Blackwater logo trying to be an imitator. This is the original company with Erik Prince at the wheel trying to make some pretty interesting and innovating products.
[NRA 2019] Keystone Sporting Arms 9130 Mini Mosin Nagant .22 Long Rifle
Keystone Sporting Arms ( KSA) debuted a rifle that has the industry buzzing at the NRA Annual Meetings 2019 with the release of the 9130 Mini Mosin Nagant .22 Long Rifle! You read that correctly. They have taken the historic design of the 9130 Mosin Nagant, and shrunk it down into a youth .22 Long Rifle chambered firearm. Some purists for military surplus firearms might be triggered by this while many of us are delighted by the fact that we can train younger shooters with a mosin nagant minus the the recoil.
[NRA 2019] In-Ear Hearing Protection From Tactical Hearing
[NRA 2019] FAST Mounts and Acro Plates From Unity Tactical
Unity Tactical continues to innovate and brought many of their new offerings to NRA 2019. Talking to Chip, he said people often ask for a Unity version of products already made well by other companies. Instead of making more of the same, Unity’s goal is to provide new, innovative solutions that are not currently available elsewhere.
[NRA 2019] Tactical Night Vision Company
Tactical Night Vision Company came to NRA in full form, offering nearly anything the green-eyed shooter could dream of. From Enhanced Clip-On Thermal Imager (E-COTI) to a PVS-31A, many high end goggles were available for attendees to see. However there are also some new options available with a Powered Bridge Mount and a Non-Powered Bridge Mount to help provide an easier transition for those wanting to get a monocular or move up from a monocular to a dual tube setup.
[NRA 2019] COMPACT GOODNESS – Naroh Arms Releases N1 Pistol
Naroh Arms has reported that they will be releasing their first handgun, the Naroh N1, at NRAAM 2019. Until now the company has specialized in providing high-quality machined OEM components. With this release, they are broadening their base. The N1 is a subcompact 7+1 9mm Luger handgun, designed for concealed carry. While Naroh has not yet released the overall height, the pistol’s overall length is just 6.1″, making it ever so slightly shorter than the Glock 43 while carrying a single extra round.
[NRA 2019] CZ-USA's New Products
CZ-USA is mixing up their line with a number of old and new school guns. Traditionally, CZ has been known for turning out classic bolt action rifles and the legendary CZ-75 series. In the last few years, they have really been trying to diversify their line up of modern and classic firearms. This year at NRA is no different with several releases both for modern PCCs and classic style guns.
[NRA 2019] LEVER UP – Marlin Model 336 Dark And Model 1895 Dark
You know what they say, once you go… never mind. Pictured here is a rare occurrence: just before James Reeves picked up the Marlin Model 336 Dark I had told him it was actually an Austrian made polymer carbine. It was only after he was holding the blaster that I informed him that it was actually a new invention called a “lever action”. I think he’s at least intrigued.
[NRA 2019] The New LWRCI SMG-45 Pistol Caliber Carbine
Over the last 4 years LWRCI has been developing their new sub machine gun. They’ve now made two versions for the commercial market as a pistol caliber carbine. This little beast packs a punch in 45 auto with a 25 round H&K UMP magazine. Most new items at this years NRA have been additions or new models but nothing new from the ground up, but the LWRCI SMG-45 is different.
[NRA 2019] Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P 380 Shield EZ M2.0
Smith & Wesson has announced a pretty dressed-up version of one of their most popular models by producing the Performance Center M&P 380 Shield EZ M2.0. There are 3 NEW versions of the M&P 380 Shield EZ M2.0 with Gold, Silver, and Black coated barrels. When many shooters upgrade or “pimp out” some of their favorite pistols some of the first things they do are change the barrel, trigger, and/or sights. Well, Smith & Wesson has beat the consumer to the proverbial punch by making the Performance Center M&P 380 Shield EZ M2.0 completely upgraded and finished right out of the box.
[NRA 2019] EOTech Vudu 1-8X Scope
Please check out the new low power optic from Eotech. The Vudu 1-8x is a solid choice for the 3-Gun crowd or the patrol officer looking to make those slightly longer shots with their duty rifle. Features excellent glass, illuminated reticle, fiber optic floating center dot, and capped turrets.

[NRA 2019] Super Light Suppressors, New Stiletto Pro and XVL2 From Surefire
Surefire brought two new suppressors for release at NRA 2019. Both are built entirely of Titanium. This has cut the weight nearly in half compared to the weight of their predecessors. Both suppressors were designed for use with bolt action rifles and use Surefire’s quick detach mount system. While not designed for heavy cadences of fire, the titanium cans were surprisingly light.
[NRA 2019] 5 Awesome Suppressors – ASA Range Day
TFBTV got invited to attend a range day event for the American Suppressor Association just prior to the NRA Annual Meetings. [NRA 2019] NEW Glock 45 MOS at NRAAM
In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is reporting from NRAAM from the Glock booth with Shane Coley, talking about Glock’s newest release, the Glock 45 MOS. The Glock 45 is essentially a Glock 17 frame with a Glock 19 slide riding on top, like the Glock 19X. However, the Glock 45 MOS is an optics-ready version of the Glock 45, which is similar to the 19X but employing all of Glock’s 5th gen features. This new model is sure to be popular with civilians and law enforcement alike.
[NRA 2019] Surefire SF RYDER 9-Ti2 & SOCOM300-Ti from the ASA Shoot
While out at the American Suppressor Association’s (ASA) Media Shoot on Thursday, April 25th we were able to catch up with Surefire, and see what they have NEW for silencers for 2019. They had two new silencers: SOCOM300-Ti and SF RYDER 9-Ti2. Both offer subtle, but valuable upgrades from previous models so we definitely got behind some guns and sent some lead down range.

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves goes to the LWRCI booth and talks to an LWRCI engineer at the NRA Annual Meeting about their new and long-awaited SMG-45. The SMG-45 is a .45 caliber pistol caliber carbine or submachine gun that takes H&K UMP mags. And while the initial carbine will be available in .45, conversion kits for 9mm are on the way. While the $3,000 MSRP is a bit steep, this gun is built like a Rolls-Royce, and offers virtually every feature that one could ask for in a pistol caliber carbine. Is it worth the money? Check out this episode and you be the judge.
[NRA 2019] HANDS ON – GLOCK G45 MOS & Build Your Own GLOCK
Hello race fans, we are live from the NRA Annual Meeting here in Indianapolis where the GLOCK G45 MOS is making it’s debut appearance. [NRA 2019] Lever Action! Marlin Dark 336 & 1895
Honestly, as a suppressor nerd, I haven’t been this excited about a production lever action rifle in, well, forever. Marlin has just announced two new rifles that are both twists on classic designs. The Marlin Dark series will include a 336 chambered in .30-30 as well as an 1895 chambered in the great and powerful .45-70. You know, for lions, tigers and bears. Both guns feature a stealthy black parkerized finish, 16.25” barrels, big loop levers and muzzle threads for adding your favorite brake. Yeah, that’s it. A muzzle brake.

[NRA 2019] NEW GLOCK G45 MOS Optic-Ready Crossover
As we reported a few weeks ago, firearms manufacturer GLOCK announced the procurement of a large, ten year contract to supply the U.S. Customs And Border Protection (CBP) with a series of pistols. Two of these guns, the Gen5 G19 and the brand new G47 are optics-ready or what GLOCK refers to as the Modular Optic System or MOS for short. While the G47 is still a CBP exclusive at the time of this writing, GLOCK is now debuting a G45 MOS pistol – a compact slide, full size frame crossover pistol that is also optics-ready.
[NRA 2019] Rugged Suppressors Radiant 762 from the ASA Shoot
The Firearm Blog (TFB) was in attendance for the American Suppressor Association’s (ASA) Media Shoot for NRAAM 2019 and we got a closer look at their NEW Radiant 762 silencer! This was one of the must-see silencers that appeared at the ASA Media Shoot because of its modularity as well as its diminutive length and weight.
NEW OPTIC: Trijicon SRO Reflex Sight For Pistols
Check out Trijicon dropping some reflex bombs ahead of the NRA Annual Meeting that starts in just a few short hours. As good as pistol reflex optics like the RMR are, they have an inherent field of view limitation. Without carrying a proverbial soup can on top of your favorite CCW, the window/sight picture is going to be constrained. The Trijicon SRO seems to have improved upon the RMR design without unnecessarily adding to to optic’s footprint.
[NRA 2018] Underwood Ammunition
One of the more interesting booths I came across at the 2018 NRA Expo was UNDERWOOD AMMUNITION. Based out of Sparta Illinois, they produce over a million rounds a month. They focus on pistol ammunition but have some great rifle rounds. I took a particular interest in the “Penetrator” round, a creation coming out of a partnership with Lehigh Defense™. The solid copper round is not designed to expand, but to penetrate and disperse energy into the target tissue. Another excellent design feature is a minimal surface on the barrel. This leads to less resistance, a faster bullet, and a decrease in barrel wear. The Underwood Ammunition “Penetration” round promises a 100% increase in permanent wound cavity. This compares to expanding bullets, even after the penetration of barriers. In addition, they promise reliable and consistent magazine feeding.
[NRA 2018] American Suppressor Association Media Day
The American Suppressor Association held a media event one day prior to the NRAAM show. Six manufacturers were on hand to display their wares for media attendees to shoot suppressed pistols and rifles. Company engineers and development teams were on hand to answer questions.
