The eleventh Installment of Build of the Week was contributed by Steve and is a 10/22 Stainless Takedown model with some simple and clean mods.

The tenth Installment of Build of the Week was contributed by Hoplopfheil.  So long as you are not clearing a room with a teammate, loud and massive muzzle flashes are fun. I am definitely becoming more and more a fan of AR/AK “pistols” as time goes on, especially if I can suppress them. Extra points to Hoplopfheil for naming his weapons; all true weapons should be named…

The ninth Installment of Build of the Week was contributed by William C.  Organized desk award (with sadly empty decanter) goes too…. I know Cerakote is a “thing”, but I still have a special place in my heart for rattle can paint jobs. This rifle looks pretty clean overall and my favorite component is the sling.

I carry one on duty (original; not the 2.0) as my backup gun and honestly find myself carrying it as my CCW during the summer months. These mods all sound pretty reasonable for a lower cost upgrade–no need to make this a race gun…

The seventh Installment of Build of the Week was contributed by Rick.  This is actually a full repost of his write up that he originally submitted on ar15.com in May of 2017.

Sixth Installment of Build of the Week was contributed by John D.  He did not submit a ton of details for this build–we are just including the information he submitted.  Ask away in the comments for John to discuss more about his build–Steve (last week) did a helluva good job providing more detail in the comments clarifying his submission.  John, please tell us more about this: what caliber, the purpose of the build, how it performs, why the random Picatinny side rail, etc…

Our Fourth Installment of Build of the Week was contributed by BKKSW.  Clearly, the new hotness in many circles is the .224 Valkyrie.  I’m hoping we can get a couple variants in to run for review in the near future. BKKSW’s rifle comes in at just over 7 lbs with a reported 0.12 split time on shots.

Third Installment of Build of the Week was contributed by Tony R.  A pretty clean and straightforward 2-stamp build, with good component choices (IMO, that is).  I don’t have any experience with Holosun, and personally am not a fan of top mounted lights, but this is not my build.

Our second installment of the new Build of the Week feature was submitted by Victor (from Brazil). This is a concept “dream” build that he sent in with the hopes of someday being able to build out a version of it (he has sent in four revisions so far)…  I know we have some HK nerds that read this blog, so help him out in the comments with pros and cons of the components, the feasibility of the build, etc.  There is a lot going on in the below list. (and costs were helpfully included).  We’d thought this may have also been posted somewhere on AR15.com, but couldn’t find the post if it was…

Our first installment of the new Build of the Week feature was submitted by Steve. One of my guilty pleasure pistols is my Ruger Mark I with a bull barrel.  It is not suppressed like this one though.

With the summer months upon us, and the friendly weather for the majority of shooters, we have decided to start a new weekly/semi-weekly/occasional post featuring a submitted build, by you, our readers.  We are calling it, you guessed it, “Build of the Week”.
