Aero Precision Announces The Tephra-22 Suppressor

Aero Precision has announced its Tephra-22 suppressor, rated for calibers ranging from 22LR through 5.7x28. Aero promises that whether you are out for a day of casual plinking or serious varmint hunting, the Tephra-22 will provide a quiet shooting experience in a durable and user-serviceable package.

Construction

The core of the suppressor is the baffle stack. With seven 17-4 stainless steel baffles, the Tephra-22 is more than up to the task, even with high velocity 5.7x28 ammunition. Another advantage of the baffle stack is the ease of maintenance, as stainless steel can withstand harsh solvents or simply be placed in an ultrasonic cleaner. In addition, the Tephra-22 does not need any special tools, allowing effortless disassembly and quick access to all components.

The Tephra-22 also features a serialized stainless steel housing finished in black nitride with 1/2x28 direct threads. Only the end cap and outer sleeve are made from aluminum, shaving weight on the 7.2-ounce suppressor without sacrificing performance or durability. The aluminum sleeve and end cap come anodized in black or Kodiak brown options.
