Welcome to our Photo Of The Day! Today we’re offering images of U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 1st Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment as they train with their M17 handguns and M4 carbines. The location is the Grafenwoehr Training Area (2023), in Germany.

The Grafenwoehr Training Area (GTA), nestled in Bavaria, is a military training facility, spanning over 230 square kilometers of rugged terrain. Renowned for its versatility, GTA offers soldiers a dynamic environment for honing combat skills across diverse landscapes, from dense forests to expansive fields. The site hosts cutting-edge training facilities, including mock urban environments and live-fire ranges, facilitating realistic combat scenarios.

The 2nd Cavalry Regiment provides V Corps, America’s forward-deployed corps in Europe, with combat-credible forces capable of rapid deployment throughout the European theater to defend the NATO alliance.

I knew when I read the headline on this article that every pistol in every picture was going to be held in some sort of a dysfunctional grip.

I agree with Hunter, worse possible pistol shooting stance. Probably why the qualifications are 4" groups.
